no chance! Hasn’t he turned down prem jobs…wasn’t he on crazy money at Chelsea, 10mill a year seems familiar……not even close to that are we
There might have been a clause in his contract that waives compensation if a higher club comes in, dunno. Just seems very odd that one week everything is fine despite it looking unlikely we will make the playoffs, to just axing him out of the blue. This must have been in the pipeline for sometime, if I was a betting man I would put the workings starting around the time that clear the air meeting took place.
Shota and Acun are not pals, Shota in general is a well known and liked person in Turkey but he is a Trabzon icon in the end. Acun's pals is a bit different kind of group, mostly Turkish footballers and singers with big name in 2000s and 2010s (Arda, Emre, Sergen etc.), or son of former football players, recently business people from Fenerbahce circle and people whom he met and become friends while he was a reporter (most of them works with him already, Esat Yontuc, Irem Kanan etc.).
You're right, that one is a long shot and almost certainly not happening, but he's currently earning £0 and his rep won't be getting any higher while he isn't working.
How is Belözoğlu considered an actual option? I don’t know much about his coaching credentials at Ankaragücü and Başakşehir but I do know he’s a racist scumbag. If he is actually appointed then my values aren’t aligned with the club and my membership card is going in the bin. Hopefully any links to him are pure bollocks.
Sorry but that would be a pathetic way to make decisions. What happens when the new manager oversees a bad performance, sack him too presumably? Highly doubt Acun is stupid enough to make such a huge decision based on the final day performance.
Hull University old boy and coach....Where he cut his teeth coaching, must be thinking of a return to these parts to manage the mighty HCAFC.
Means nothing for what we need though does it. Hence our signings pre-Rosenior have been wastemen who come highly rated but can't play Championship football without constantly picking up injuries.
He won't be, like I said we mentioned names earlier on this thread and he was one, people will see that and put bets on and that's why he is so high up.
I don’t think it’s structured like that, the compensation / wage stops when he his next appointment. He’s not going to accept a 90%+ pay cut
When all is said and done, we have been pretty abysmal at home, performances generally poor with the football on display dire at times. I can see heads could have been butted over that and as we’ve heard Rosey say time and time again he will not budge from his philosophy, even if we’re a goal up against Man City with 5 minutes to go. I can see that being one of the key elements of the decision.
Let's check if bookies are following this thread at all. I will put one more name, who recently (yesterday) announced he won't continue his job at current club and very very close friend to Acun, already have championship in TR league and not on the list of skybet or others: Sergen. If they can put Emre there, why not him? At least he is more succesful.
