Liam Rosenior sacked by Hull.

Interesting one
Not surprised at all. Under achieved with that squad and played such a boring style of play. He's a decent coach who will do well in his career but has a lot to learn.

They'll be big players in the coach market so another reason to get ours done ASAP.

Interested to see what Hull do now, their best players were loans apart from Greaves who is likely sold. Big rebuild needed but they will spend.

Aye, they'll surely have to sell Greaves to spend for their January/post January outlay, otherwise I can't see how they make FFP work. Was a big gamble from the owners and one they lost, really intrigued to see where they go from here.

He’ll go for decent money. £20m+ potentially. Cracking player

It’s not needed to coach here. Only a requirement in the Prem I believe.

Subject to Regulations 41.4 and 41.5:

41.1.1:

All Managers in the Championship must hold a minimum of the UEFA A Licence and be working towards completing the UEFA Pro-Licence within 3 years of appointment.

So you technically you do need a UEFA Pro Licence which is what Still is going for now, but not for 3 years. Wonder if we're just ensuring he has it in case we make the Premier League and then he'll not need to rush through it?

Spent less than us..

I doubt that

Spent about €11m and we spent over 12. Not including loans obviously but that’s just a wage. We’ve got a squad filled with young lads who never get on the pitch all of whom are getting a wage. They’ll get a clean slate for those wages now and likely just loan again

Don't think that's true. Especially when you chuck in the loan fees, the Giles fee if they make that permanent, and the wages.

Unless their plan is to have 5 loans again I don't understand what they were thinking in terms of squad building. Just like I don't understand what we were doing.

Seems more and more common now doesn’t it. The money you’d get just from going up is worth risking not developing your own players for most of the clubs I reckon. Burnley had 5 loanees in their best Xl in the championship and now they’ll come back down with plenty of money and likely be challenging again next season. All they need is a few player sales for daft money to prop them up and write off their losses and because they’ve played in the prem they’ll likely get it.

Three weeks to appoint Still who's got four days to do on his license? Am I interpreting that correctly?

Would there be any reason we couldn't appoint him now if that's the only thing to sort?

He may get expelled for leaving a drawing pin on the teachers seat, or leaving all the taps running in the lads bogs again?

I wonder if it's the club trying to calm things down - it says at the end "hopefully trying to get it done quicker than that" too

Could be we are waiting to announce him and his coaching team at once. Likely we will be negotiating for his coaching team - wonder if some are still at reims and are now likely in charge since hes left n have a few games left

Just guessing of course as for all we know it gets announced this week
