From Hull City 's statement “However, it has become evident that our visions for the future are not aligned and I feel that now is the time to make a change. Our philosophy is clear, we will continue to drive this club forward, and whilst doing so I will continue to be open and transparent with our fans." Maybe Liam wasn't keen on Acun's plans for sales and purchases.
Cardiff fan here. I just can’t believe that your club would let a quality manager like Roseinor go. Absolutely insane. I thought he did a fantastic job this season. Sounds like your owners are taking a leaf out of the Watford book of how not to progress! Mind you, our owners are not much better and if they can’t agree a contract with Bulut could you direct Liam to South Wales. He’d be more than welcome at the Bluebirds.
The way I’m feeling right now it has better be someone bloody special*, like getting SAF or Wenger out of retirement. * hang on, isn’t the Special One currently out of work? That would be, er, entertaining at least for a few months.
It's a myth based on Ferguson's tenure at Man U. Chelsea changed their manager more or less every season and continued to win major trophies, including the Champions League. There are plenty of examples of clubs changing manager til they get the right one. Southampton got back to back promotions to the PL with Nigel Adkins and was sacked so they could appoint Pochettino, even Watford performed well despite going through half a dozen managers at the time and you could argue they only got worse once they stopped sacking them.
Just stating they will be transparent doesn't make it so, the transparency would be telling us why they aren't aligned.
That's what it sounds like to me. LR clearly had no idea and there were supposedly recruitment meetings planned for this week. Sounds like those meetings have gone really badly, to the point that the two parties couldn't agree at all on a way forward together. I struggle to understand how Acun/Tan are qualified to disagree with LR on that stuff. Football people should be making football decisions. We've seen what Acun and Tan's recruitment looks like. Doesn't sound like we have someone else lined up to me, and I certainly don't think it was a pre-agreed result of us finishing outside the top 6.
It’s really simple, sentiment getting in the way of facts. It’s a failure by any metric and got everything he asked for. STILL BOTTLED IT. Took external persuasion to change his style of play, he’s literally a well spoken Grant with his stubbornness, talks absolute ****e and under delivered, no team signing Fabio want to finish 7th, we are the only fan base who seem to think that was acceptable, other clubs see it as the failure it is.
It's just high risk and then some. It's not inconceivable that by Xmas things can all get very hostile between owner and fans. There's no room for error at all
