I agree with the principles of sticking by the manager and building for more long-term success but it does depend on it being the right man. I've no idea what went on in discussions behind the scenes but I would like to believe it's more than just failure to make playoffs and more about the whole picture, perhaps I'm being a bit naive.

He hired Shota, spunked a lot of cash on Sinik and Ally, and then sacked Shota the morning if a game after a two week break. Then spent a month sorting his replacement.
Our recruitment, and our football operation in general (see squad fitness/injury record for example) has been pretty **** across the board except for where Liam Rosenior influenced it. The best football decision Acun/Tan made by far, was to bring in a guy who had a clear plan for everything we should do on the football side, trusted him to implement it and backed him. Going away from that seems so self-destructive to me.
Liked the bloke but too many really **** performances, too much ****ing about at the back- all too often the better performances came when we had to attack to chase the game otherwise we'd revert to ****ing about again - Acun said he wanted attacking football, all Rosie served up was a negative version of keep ball - he has the potential to be a really good manager - presumably Acun doesn't see City as being Rosie's training ground and has someone in mind who is already proven at Championship / Premier League level - I genuinely wish him the best - he's gone, we move on
Yeah and there’s few managers I’d be excited about as Rosenior’s replacement. Maybe Şahin or Potter. Şahin due to his style of play, man-management etc. and Potter for obvious reasons.
Potters style of play is the same as Rosenior. His biggest criticism at Brighton was his inability to score more goals. Would be laughable.
It wasn't just Sinik, it was Allahyar, Tetteh, Traore but I think my absolute favourite was Harvey Vale on big money.
You do if you do proper research. Talk to previous players and owners of potential managers. Dont go just by results. There could be other reasons besides the manager. Dont go by how they perform at interviews.
Potter I'm sure would be great but it's surely never going to happen. Outside of Hull we're not seen as this big proposition. We're seen as another middling Championship club, and increasingly one who are a bit trigger happy. Which is why that odds list somebody else posted had a load of nobodies on it and none of the people we're optimistically talking about.
