Basaksehir guy is good though, I can tell you that. He is considered as one of the bright ones in TR football, very similar to Buruk. Although as I said his team will be part of City group, so no chance for him to leave there. And if he was available, he would already be at Besiktas, his former giant club. I've got no worries about that one.
I'd like to think there's a replacement lined up, and someone good enough that wouldn't hang around waiting to see if we made the play offs or not, never mind promotion. In which case was LR on his way out anyway?
Exactly. We really should take more note of cautionary tales like them. They've spent way more than us in the last few years and had plenty of proven managers. Doesn't guarantee anything. There are clear models to follow and models to avoid. We seem to be moving away from the model that has worked wonders for other clubs in similar positions to us and towards a model that has led big clubs to languish for years.
Just to be clear - I’d feel exactly the same about any manager being sacked - regardless of the emotional connection. Someone who takes a club from a relegation fight to a play off fight in less than 2 seasons should not be getting sacked.

I do give a **** who is our next manager. I dont think not caring is justified because there's no guarantees.
I'm sure I'll care at some point. But excuse me for not rushing right now to get excited about another manager just because they might be a bigger name than Liam Rosenior.
He also said he would be happy if no players were signed at the start of last season. You shouldnt rely on what he says.

The thing is, Acun spent £4 million on Sinik and that was purely his signing. Acun isn’t immune from dodgy decisions.
And there's no way of knowing you're getting one. It clearly isn't as simple as that. There are scores of clubs to look at for examples of rolling the dice on finding a better manager and how well that plays out.
