Minteh. Do something with him, either fetch him back and have a look at him, or loan him out to a championship side so we can judge him better. Fraser. Market value £3m. Liability. Sell Jamal Lewis. Market value £3.5m. Proven unsuccessful. Sell Hayden. Market value £2.5m. Sell Ashby. Market value £1.2m. Riddled with injuries. Sell. Hendrick. Market value £700k. Contract expires next month, thank the lord. Nobody would pay for him. Kuol. Market value £700k. Doesn’t seem to set the world alight wherever he goes. I’d be happy with £10m for the lot and get them off the wage bill.
Won't get shot of Fraser unless Saints win the play off's as nobody will pay his wages in championship. Won't get rid of Hayden or Lewis for those exact same reasons. Hope I'm wrong but that's the exact reason none of them have been binned off before now.
The key point is if anyone actually wants to pay those prices though, which they don't. I think the best we can do is keep loaning them out and getting most of their wages covered, they won't be able to get the same wages elsewhere, and they'll want to run down the contracts.
Hayden always comes across as a future manager/coach - just wonder is he the type of player that is offered a player/coach role in the reserves and youth teams as per a lot of other clubs. If he's still contracted to us, might as well utilse him!
Doesn't make sense, he's on £22k a week right now and will make nothing like that as a coach. He's only 29 and will want at least 4 or 5 more years on big money.
I think he means the guy in the high vis jacket, who points to where the coach driver can park the coach.
When you say this: Do you mean he hangs around on the touchline, gesticulating, near the technical area?
Given his injury record for the past few years, does he? Well I didn't, but hey why not use him as a utility. Man the turnstyles, work in a kiosk, mow the grass.........keep him busy.
Ok nothing proven. However, 26 league appearances with 10 goals. Not too different from 19 year old Messi ...
