Nope. I work with a few Leicester fans who laughed at the price we paid....

not sure yet. Think it could be more to do with his injury and not getting back up to speed.

There’s a few others who aren’t yet (or haven’t been) part of our deadwood list. After some of the performances over the last few months we could easily see another 2 or 3 names on the way out before some of the existing ones. - especially if they are easier to command a fee for, allowing us to reinvest.
I reckon come the start of the season we’ll still have some of the usuals stinking the place out as a result. Too much work to do in too shorter space of time unless contracts are ripped up.

Nope, use the search function and you’ll see plenty of posts from me saying he’s not all that.

Add in the fact he’s very unlikable and went missing when Lesta needed him most and Spurs bought a bang average player

To be fair, Leicester fans laugh every time they see Katharine Ryan on yet another panel show, so it's probably not wise to put much stock in what they laugh at

    No I just think that:

    A) he was rushed back from injury and hasn’t been able to get in a rhythm. Might even still be carrying a knock.
    B) the team isn’t playing a free flowing game that allows him to make the creative style passing he’s known for.

In terms of knuckling down and getting dirty, similar was said of Eriksen on here by some which I found quite weird. A few were complaining he’d bottle challenges and the like. I just don’t think guys like that are in the team for dirty work. That’s what the Wanyama’s, Dier’s etc were. We just don’t have a destroyer at present so might make it look worse for Maddison.

He’s always been patchy, on his day he can look very good, he just doesn’t have enough good days to be at that top level. Ideally he would be a squad player and the club would sign a top drawer midfielder this summer but I doubt he would be happy with that.

Yeah you can be...a sensible ref gives us the penalty so that's saka's second goal gone and us with a possible equaliser.
If the ref had given a foul for white impeding the keeper as some refs have done in other games this season (like at arsenal yesterday), that would be a second goal ruled out.
I know it's ifs and buts, but if one both of those is called differently then we don't go in 3 nil down. Hence we were unlucky.

At no point did I say amazing football ... I said it was much better than what we've had for the past 5 years.
As for the united match being the only good 90 min we have had since November is not the case IMHO.

We lost at home to villa and west ham cos we don't have a quality striker. We created plenty and played some great football throuhout. The same is true of Brighton away where Richarlison did everything but stay on side.

I think there's been a massive over reaction to a very poor end to the season. It feels to me that people are effectively chucking the baby out with the bath water. Up until the Fulham match we'd scored in every league game all season. We did so even though we'd lost kane. I'd argue that since then some fans have lost a bit of perspective because we threw away a chance of 4th.

I think he’s actually a very decent player to be honest and despite his form this second half of the season I’ll still stand by it. Although about 4 years ago there was a debate on the Prem board about who was better - him or Grealish and I was very much in the Grealish camp, if City decide to cash in on him as some rumours suggest, I’d really like us to enquire to see if it were doable, as most on here know I wanted him when he was available for peanuts at Villa. Big fan of his and I think he’s been poorly suited to Pep’s style, he’s a player that likes being the big fish and he was never gonna be as such at City with de Bruyne, Silva, Foden etc.

At Spurs though, I really think Grealish could elevate us and I also think he could play alongside Maddison and not instead of too, could create a very creative and dynamic midfield, especially with a proper number six behind them.

Maddison looked a world beater in the first few months of the season and was often Spurs best player; injury obviously affected him. But to say he is not up to it or that Spurs could or should sign a better player in that position is wide of the mark. He is a class player and one the best in that role in the PL.

You can’t though, because the penalty shout wasn’t a stonewall one and the White thing on Vicario is just dark tactics which we need to get on board with instead of whine about.

It’s not much better than Jose and Conte’s football, not since November anyway. Our wins have been scrappy, often where we’ve conceded first (which is exactly what was happening for a spell with Conte) and our losses have been brutal viewing (which is exactly what happened with Conte and Jose).

The position in the table is only half the job. Throwing away 4th when we never really had it in the first place isn’t the concern, it’s watching us look like a bunch of amateurs for months that is and also that the manager is denying the clear weaknesses. Then he comes out talks about change being needed but continues to select the same players he wants to scrap - what’s he expecting to happen by doing that? He should grow a pair of balls and throw in some of the youth, Pochettino did in his first season and it paid dividends and some. Other managers haven’t had any issues doing similar too. This early into his career we should at least be seeing signs of a plan come together and having optimism for the following season, yet so far all we’ve seen is a great opening three month bounce followed by some largely catastrophic, idea-lacking football that’s leaving most guessing what month of next season he could get the sack.

So after 2 weeks without a game we lose to potential champions Arsenal, a reborn Chelsea that just put 5 past West Ham, and Liverpool at Anfield. The main issue here is the fact that all 3 followed each other in one week. That's a pretty tall order even if we were at the top of our game. Of the 3 I would say Chelsea was the worst because they outplayed us. Arsenal didn't and in the end Liverpool weren't either. Trying to produce momentum which is very important in any sport is difficult when the fixtures are so crazily spaced. It's not surprising our confidence took a bashing after all that, so for me to see the fight in the players in the last half hour at Anfield was a welcome sign, Son started to take people on and Richarlison looked bright and immediately posed a threat. Skipp did really well.
As you know I tend to look on the bright side when I can because football is entertainment after all. I don't allow it to get me down for more than 1/2 hour after the game. I learnt that lesson 50 years ago :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Yeah then someone will likely pay that. In this market he’s worth it. One of the best mids in the league.
