And Newcastle list of PL achievements are a couple of promotions back into the PL. Not a single trophy. We could go further back if you want.
Everton hate Newcastle because we came along and hmgot arse arses licked after they invented the league and they watched on with envious eyes. I believe Pardew ruffled their already seething feathers aswel. They revelled in our demise for 15 years post the formentioned era and now the boots on the other foot, but the only missing thing was their relegation. The coming years will see them recover and hopefully we'll win that elusive thing called a trophy and drive another nail into their bleeding hearts... until then they've still got a dog in this fight.
The thing is enjoying the prospect made me understand why everyone loved and celebrated our demise.. it helped me get over it and let it go... it's funny.
We could win the league for four consecutive seasons, starting next season, but Everton would still be a bigger club than us at the start of the 2028-29 season, because they would still have won more top division titles over the course of their entire existence.
Nah when Newcastle win the 1st pot all our enemies will start pretending they're happy for us or just go very quiet.
You've actually done well to stay up despite all the financial issues, points deductions and general uncertainty. Clearly helped by the poor quality of the 3 promoted teams, but you've still had to get results in a difficult time. But I really can't see it's some kind of plan/conspiracy to send you down. What I will add though is that for some time now Everton have played absolutely horrible football to watch. So for fans of other teams it's easy to dislike what we see when you play.
