Get rid of the dead wood...Traore for starters. The first signing of the season will tell us a great deal....If its a Billy Sharp, also ran - has been, I'll be gutted. If its a Sammie Szmodics type of poacher I'll be thinking they're aiming to go five better than this season. It will be interesting to see who comes into the building. Let the merry-go-round begin.

With Liam's reputation and the clubs management I'm sort of confident that we could attract some decent quality to push us over the line.

Yep. This is another of those themes that's been the case all season. Apart from Delap's goal against Ipswich I can't think of a goal we've scored from that kind of ball in at all, whether by a striker or not. We get into those positions really often, but it almost never ends in a shot on goal. Sometimes it's the quality of the cross but sometimes the cross looks alright and it just isn't met. I think it's something we really need to improve on whether through recruitment or just attacking players learning to attack the right areas when the ball is out wide. It's such a fundamental source of goals for a footballing side who plays it on the floor, it's bonkers that we get so few of them.

    **** off condescending prick.
So what exactly is this "bedrock". I'm not the only one seriously questioning it.
Drew listed the following as likely to still be with us:
Jones, Coyle, Slater, Omur, Tufan, Jacob, Allsop, Pandur.
That's seriously concerning and is nothing like a "bedrock".
Omur is class. Tufan is quality at this level (but is Rosenior really getting the best out of him). Seri was missed from the list; he too is quality but another year older. Pandur might be great but might equally be a flop,, we have no idea. The rest, average at best.
It's a gigantic rebuild not a solid "bedrock". Rosenior spouts BS.

I wasn’t referring specifically to that post, it was more a general comment about all your posts. <ok>

    I’m not saying “Rosie out”
But I think it’s happened too many times this season, the “lower” teams have worked out how to stop us playing. We can’t seem to overcome that and play a different way. After 10mins you can see how they’ve set up, we just have to carry on. it’s very much “terry tactics”. Plan A or Plan A

Funny and this isn't to a start an argument, but one of the major disappointments with Giles for me is his inability to beat the first man... his crosses do often end up as corners however..

I agree Geo.... as I said other managers have found a way to beat that 'low block' whatever the hell that is and theyre the ones already at the table or fighting for the last seat. Other managers have our number especially those who are prepared park it. LR has to find a way to not lose his identity if that what he wants, but he has to, just has to learn there are other ways to skin a cat so to speak. And thats what he will be judged on.

Rosie out is ridiculous. I also think given the turnover of players we are going to see, judging Rosenior early doors will be fairly harsh too. Much like Boro this season who lost better loanees than we have had, the core that’s made us successful this season is going to entirely change next season so we will need to be patient early doors IMO. Just got to hope new signings bed in quick and we don’t get left behind like Boro did

Fantastic support from them btw. Loudest I've heard all season. All around the ground including their west stand equivalent next to us.

I don't think its concerning at all. Its a big job - but sides at the top end of the Championship usually have something to do each summer as they lose their key assets.

Coyle, Slater, Jacob, Allsop - All very capable squad players that I might not expect to be in the first team - but give decent options (considering they've all played regularly for a side finishing 7th)

Seri, Tufan, Omur, Jones - all good enough for a play off chasing side with the right players around them.

    Pandur - no idea.

If we sell Greaves and Jaden - that's probably north of £30m to spend on 5/6 first teamers and some more squad depth. Then we've got the extra loans spot to use - which we've done well this season so will be high on clubs radar when it comes to talent.

Jaden/Omur/Carvalho/Morton/Delap all came in this season - there's no reason we can't bring the same amount of quality players in this year.

I just see it as the nature of a Championship squad that doesn't have parachute payments. We've proven we can do it once, there's no reason we can't do better next time.

The issue next season will be, with such a highl turnover of players in the summer, we’ll go down the road of it’s a”new squad” “it needs time to gel”
“They need time to understand or ethos”
Based on that Rosie can’t only be given 10 games or this board will melt :)
It could quite easily be the following season before we are ready for the playoffs

Cant help but think you’d need to look at what happened during the summer after finishing 7th. How many sacked managers? How many sold their best players? Etc.
