He's come in for some hammer recently whilst he's been injured or not fully fit, but Giles has made a difference here
The fans who have travelled down in large numbers for a 12.30 kick off must be very frustrated having to watch such a poor performance. I feel for them.
I don’t think this performance is down to Rosenior. You could argue he shouldn’t have started Slater at right-back again. However, the players need to own this performance. They have been ****ing woeful bar a few. Lethargic, not switched on, ball-watching, shirking 50/50 tackles and going down easy to appeal for fouls. Pathetic performance by some big players today.
Yep. They’ve just wanted it a lot more. This performance isn’t due to poor tactics or selection by Rosenior. This is entirely down to the players bottling it.
Having the players awards in mid week said a lot...Players would have been swapping travel and holiday plans for the summer... PS....Get Burnsey back on Blunder for 2024/25..The bloke on now is a right clown...
These are the type of games we need to really focus on for next year, our biggest weakness has been against low block defensive teams looking to hit us on the break, we need to figure out a better tactic for playing against teams like this, cos our current style has been wanting too many times this year
Oh yeah, I wasn’t suggesting you was. I’ve been critical of Rosenior in the past but this performance isn’t down to him. Nothing Rosenior does in terms tactics can account for Slater bottling a 50/50 challenge in a significant game or Carvalho diving to win bogus fouls.
It’s been a recurring theme all season though. Ultimately it’s the managers job to get a tune out of them and we have served up this turgid ****e easily 10+ times this season. The odd one off, fine, it happens to everyone. But it’s happened too often.
