That's understandable. Much better than your "bastard Geordies" tirade. Mind you, it's better than being a "bastard mackem".
You really think Bruce is sabotaging his own managerial career just to have a bit of a laugh at a team he used to consider rival to his favourite team when he was a young boy? He is purposefully screwing over his future in football for the sake of a few laughs in the pub? Yes, he's doing poorly but this is one insane conspiracy theory you're perpetuating here.
First of all not all Geordies are mags. I am a Geordie and I support Sunderland. We should not let the skunks claim the Geordie name. Secondly it seems that SB will not quit. Thirdly Gary Bennett suggestion seems to be we will have to stay away in numbers for Ellis to sack Bruce.
This i have to agree with. Ellis Short is a business man first and foremost, a billionaire football club owning fan secondly. Make no mistake, if the crowds dwindle as they surely will if the teams performances and result don't take a sharp turn for the better, then he will surely act and get shot of Bruce. Short will be patient for a while but if he doesn't see an improvement very soon, he will act quickly. He probably already know's who he wants in anyway, he'll have a contingency plan for sure.
I find the calls for Brucie's big bulging head shocking. Do you really think he wanted to lose Bent, Gyan and Henderson? When you take into account how much money he's brought in compared to how much he's spent and the wage structure that he has to work in at Sunderland he's done a great job. He's proved at Wigan and Birmingham that he can unearth gems and develop them into great players and with him rebuilding the squad he needs time for him to find the right balance and for the team to gel, but he's been unlucky with injuries in key positions. Sacking him now would be a stupid decision. yes it may appease the fans who think that he's deliberately trying to turn his reputation to **** and ensure he never works again by destroying Sunderland, but in reality it would destabilise the squad and then the team would have to start again with someone new who would only have a few short weeks to assess the squad with a view to the January transfer window, which would probably lead to terrible panic buying. Bruce needs to be given until February I reckon. He knows the team better than anyone and he knows where they need to strengthen in January and he'll turn it around
This is absolute bollocks. We have won 2 home games since new years day FFS! And throw in the 3 pathetic performances in the derbies is the icing on the cake. There is no other club where this run would be tolerated. Sunderland fans have been remarkably tolerant. The man needs replacing now.
Bruce is not tactition and he lowers team spirit and moral but he is actually very good and signing players
Ok lets look at two wins at home since New Years day. From what I've seen you clearly play better away from home and amazingly seem to create more chances. Do you not think it's down to the fact that you boo the manager and get on players backs after every slight mistake? Negativity breeds negativity and by booing the performances and the manager (especially after the derby) they are going to go out there and be fearful to receive the ball in case they make a mistake and thats what happened with Wigan's second yesterday. Nobody wanted the ball and it ended up in the back of the net. We booed Ashley after Keegan went and look where we ended up. You've got to back the team through thick and thin and grit your teeth even if you don't like or agree with the manager. Replacing Bruce now would be suicide it really would. By the time the new man comes in and makes his mark and gets the team playing the way he wants the busy Christmas schedule is gone January transfer window is gone and you could find yourselves further in the mire.
Well since your going to be a **** about it I hope you change your manager and get Peter Reid or Ron Atkinson or whoever it is you will realistically end up with and you's go down.
Since the slogan of the site is Comment, debate, create freely I was merely trying to debate as to why keeping Bruce would be a good idea, but obviously that doesn't seem to go with the mantra of the Sunderland fans on here who just like to make a massive drama out of everything. Awfully windy out there today - Must be Steve Bruces fault opening his anal passage at the thought of a lovely 5 million payout from Uncle Ellis
Nice pay-off, to go with his other £9m he is reported to have... If you look back, i never commented on your original posts, may not have agreed with them but kept shtum..
No more Geordie Scum? You really are a pathetic individual cest, the fact he is a geordie as no influence on his ability to the job, Bobby Robson was a geordie, I could not respect the man more, Gary Speed is practically a geordie, a legend on tyneside and when news comes out like it has today hopefully idiots like you will realise that a rivalry between two clubs means nothing in reality. It has never impacted the way he goes about his job, maybe he is totally hopeless but the fact he was born in newcastle has no influence and that does not make him scum, people like you make me ashamed to be a sunderland fan
