Has Stretty ever complimented Man Utd this season? No all he has done is explain how Rooneys actions were perfect and how disrespecting our club was a good thing. Rooney is rubbish and so face it. He has not been class since 2008/9 season. He has lost a bit of pace to and has become fatter. He can't dribble or score or shoot outside the box, his touch is dreadful. So why all the arse licking?

Nani limit in ability and how far he can go is boundless compared to Wayne who has hit the sealing. Its only regression for him. He has been very over rated and offers little nowadays. Nani can still work on his crossing and his play inside the box and then he will become complete. He can shoot with either foot outside the box. He is quicker than rooney and can dribble very well. He is a threat and even Ferguson called him a great player. Rooney is not a great player and never will be. Even Zabaleta said Nani is the best Utd player. Even Wengar said he is a class player. Nani can become a great but Rooney cant.

Why in the name of flying ****s woould I care what pablo zabeletta said? Is he a shining becon to all footballers to become as good as him, no he isnt. He is garbage.

I am not saying Nani has not been our best player this year, he has. And I have said that many times. So why are you chatting garbage of the highest order and making yourself look yet again like the biggest idiot since time began?

The media has painted a picture that Rooney has been world class but in reality he has never been world class. How can a player who cant shoot outside the box and cant dribble and has a terrible touch be world class? Nani is not world class yet but has the ability to be world class something Rooney has never had. Nani has the magic that quality players have. He can make something happen whilst Rooney cant. The sooner we sell Rooney the better Utd will get. Hernandez then could get a bigger role. Rooney is only starting because him not starting with that bumper contract lacks value.

    Nani>rooney
    Berbatov>rooney
    Valencia>Rooney
    Hernandez>rooney
    Owen>Rooney
    Park>Rooney
    Giggs>Rooney

All these players offer more than Wayne. Even a 37 year old has more of a future than Rooney. Why an earth this guy Rooney starts for us is simple. Its his contract. 180K-250K means he cant be left out NO MATTER HOW BAD HE PLAYS.

No rooney is satrting because he is a classy player who is having a bad season? You do realise scholes and giggs have had worse seasons than wayne this year right? And why the bloody hell are you banging on about rooney for 600th time this week, we get it, your an idiot who doesnt like him. But other people do appreciate his talent and the fact that this is just a bad season.

And who said he was world class? No one.

Their are very few world class players in the game atm.

Ronaldo, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Vidic and Rio on his day. Nani could potentially be up their with them. but he would have to prove it over th course of a few seasons and do what players like these have done.

And when did Nani last score a bycicle kick may i ask?

Ok gents, lets try and get this thread back on topic. I don't want to have to start deleting nohlman and Stretty's posts or have to close the thread. You are both clearly passionate fans who have different opinions about the team. Can the two of you please just leave it at that?

For my money, the young players at the two clubs are at a fairly similar level. The difference is that we have more young players coming through (Smalling, Evans, Rafael, Fabio, Cleverley, Hernandez) but none are yet at a really stand out level except Rafael. In contrast, Arsenal only have a few breaking through (Walcott, Ramsey, Wilshire) but they are all top class players. Which is what you'd expect for a Utd side looking to probably replace three or four older players over the next few years (Giggsy, Neville, Scholesy and possibly Rio) and an Arsenal side that doesn't have any older players to replace, but needs to raise the overall level of their playing squad a bit if they want to win major honours.

Although I'm still surprised Arsenal are focusing so much effort on developing young midfielders, when their main weakness is in defence and up front. Likewise, surprised we don't have more CMs coming through when that's our weakest position.

You could easily say the same about Rooney if you didn't have an irrational hatred for him <ok>

Walcott is another over rated english player. He cant dribble and lacks a football brain. He is not a class player merely average. Arsenals central midfielders are class players.

I agree, about his footballing brain but the point is that he is getting goals and assists.

Thats not a sole criteria of looking at players ability. XAVI barleys scores but is Lampard better who scores and assists more than him? Its about touch, skill, football brain dribbling technique. He lacks all of them and is just a pace player not a football player with technique.

I am aware of Xavi's qualitys thank you very much but you, having missed the point yet again, fail to realise that walcotts job as a winger is to score and assist. And he has a better goals/Assists ratio to games this season than Nani. The point is he is doing his job very well. He is not one of the arsenal weak links. So on the whole does it really matter about the other things? I would say not.

Walcott is terrible. He is quick but his finishing, passing, control, first touch, crossing and decision making are awful.

He is not a quality player for goodness sake and to compare him to a portugal starter who plays with the likes of ronaldo and is one of Utds and portugals best players just shows what your opinion is worth.

He is not a natural talent and some things are just natural and he can't work on them. If so Gibson could become scholes.

I didnt compare him to Nani I said he had a better goals/ asists to mnitues on the pitch ratio, which he does. This is a fact.

Not blowing my own horn too much, but my opinon will always be worth more than yours. I have tied every argument you have given today up in about several knots. Chewed you up and spit you out to dry. This will always continue as long as you are an idiot.
