I've watched Mubama. I know people who've watched Mubama. Can't say I'm that bothered if we sign him. If we do- fine. If we don't- fine.

Indeed, not sure how much sooner he could have had opportunities without putting him at risk.

Did you have a similar view with Ekwah and Alese? Where on the rating scale would you put him?

@Scout73 as a Sunderland fan, who would you like to see the club go for? Someone who has all the attributes that we have lacked for last few seasons as a striker who would be ready to go from the off?

I like Matanovic, young croatian striker who has plenty senior games under his belt and has the size youd want in a cf at championship level

Jay stansfield would be my 1st choice though, just think he has everything to be our main striker

Tom cannon on loan would be a shout but depends on his injuries but he would be class for us i reckon

Gelhardt n jebbinson would be 2 i would look at as well

Id be happy with 2/3 of the above tbh

I dont watch as much english football as i used to as not a market my team has been focusing on but the above at who i like

Mumba will be a good signing, on the fringes of the West Ham first team squad. I take him, Leaburn from Charlton and an experienced forward this summer.

I've seen a bit more of Mubama than I'd seen of the other two. With Mubama, he looked physically ready quite early but hasn't looked ready technically and mentally at senior level. Based on what I've heard from people who's opinion I trust, Ekwah and Alese looked more ready for the step up than Mubama does currently.

Another reason to want Birmingham to get relegated.

    Chris Willock - 26 - QPR - Winger
    Alan Browne - 29 - Preston - CM
    Joe Williams - 27 - Bristol City - CM
    Divin Mubama - 19 - West Ham - ST

All on frees would be a great start to the window.

    Can then start to look at loans or permanents for players such as;
    Jay Stansfield - 21 - Fulham - ST
    Tom Cannon - 21 - Leicester - ST
    Joe Gelhardt - 21 - Leeds - ST
    John McAtee - 24 - Luton - ST/AM
    Paris Maghoma - 22 - Brentford - CM/AM

These are just some players I like that I think will be available this summer. We don't have to spend much at all to transform the squad.

Willock is done from what I was told last week. Add muamba to that and its not a bad start

Just makes so much sense to get some frees done early.

According to what I was told, kld isn't messing about. 4 quality players in and 1 championship ready striker in as soon as possible.

Speakman to go once our business is done

I wouldnt be happy with mate. We need two strikers who we know we can rely on, in my opinion. I really think Hemir needs to get out and play some proper football somewhere as well. If this lad from West Brom comes in we need 2 established forwards for me. They exist, and are achievable, if we are a bit more flexible in our age profile.

Yep, agreed. It’s about time our striker situation was sorted out properly.

Been banging the Hardie drum for a while. I think he would instantly transform this side. I know his second half of the season hasnt produced goals, but his first half did and his game has still been strong in a striggling side.

I would take a chance on Harris from Oxford. I still watch league one, for my sins, and he has blossomed this season. If they dont go up I wouldnt mind us spending on him. Another alternative would be Gelhardt to come back. He is another who has a lot going for him.

Just produced an unbelievable assist for Bolton against Barnsley in the playoffs. Such a good player.

You might be right, but in my view Mubama won't come here to be 3rd choice. He's played minutes in the Premier League and has been in the West Ham first team squad. I'd be happy with him playing for us.

Is the age thing a red herring? Some develop later than others? Can players through hard work and training exceed projections? An example is 09, his effort and hard work in training has pushed him further than we as fans thought was possible.

Stansfield is the one for me, if we got him that'd be the position more or less sorted depending on who leaves. Should be a realistic permanent signing for us and would be a relatively low price for a proven scorer.

Why does he go once the business is done? Very strange outcome.
