    ----------Demba Ba--------------Shola-------------
    Gutierrez------Cabaye---Gosling-------Obertan
    Ryan Taylor---Perch-----Simpson-------Santon
    ----------------------------Krul--------------------------

    <yikes>

    Not a single fit center back, a LM with no pace at LB, whatever James Perch was, a 5ft 8 inch RB at CB and Santon.

    Our worst ever right winger.

    Shola Ambeobi.

    So if we feel sorry for ourselves with some of the lines ups sent out this season, it's been much worse.

    Clearly all Eddie Howe's fault. His lack of squad rotation and favouring his usual English plodders. Anyone arguing against that is just using mental gymnastics.
    It would never happen at Aston Villa.

    Partnered up front by a combination of George Reilly and Billy "two shoes" Whitehurst.

    <laugh>

    Whitehurst being allegedley one of, if not the, hardest men ever to play football.

    From his wiki....was he actually known as Slug? I remember Mirandinha but I'm a bit hazy as to stuff before that.

    Didn’t he serve time for beating someone up or something?

    Don’t think so but apparently according to Wiki he did get a suspended sentence for of all things fraud.

    “Since leaving the game Whitehurst has trained greyhounds, ran several public houses in his native South Yorkshire and worked in the building trade and in the stores at BP Saltend and Drax Power Station. In 2008, he was found guilty of benefit fraud and given a suspended prison sentence.[6)

    Duncan Ferguson did do time though for assault on a football pitch when playing for Rangers against Raith IIRC.

    Whitehurst was living in a room in Gascoigne's mam's house while he was at Newcastle

    Hard to believe there's a future Premier League winner there. If you'd told me that at the time and that it wasn't Cabaye or Ba then I'd have assumed you were off your head.

    2 Premier league winners, Obertan had already won the league with Man U in 2010/11.
