"The poor little darlings" These guys do light training between games, gentle jogging and set play practice, ball work, etc. Semi Pro ballers play games at similar intervals to pro clubs in that they have a league game on Saturday and cup games (many play for more than one cup, then you have FA Vase, FA Cup qualifiers etc etc - so there can be loads of cup games to be played). they also train mostly on a Tuesday and Thursday and most of the time it isn't light jogging, you do proper "doggies", you are busted at the end of training. I don't remember myself ever complaining about fatigue or the players around me and we didn't have access to the multitude of methods, recovery aids and gizmos that Premier League footballers have access to. OK, I don't doubt that fatigue plays a part, of course it does, but in this instance I think it is an excuse.
