Uber or even better pre book a cab. It won’t take long to get to the airport though.I have been checking the trains today. We are travelling from Birmingham Airport to the stadium. From Coventry City Centre, there is only one train an hour at 56 minutes past the hour (ie. 09.56, 10.56, 11.56 etc). I'd imagine that 11.56 train will be mad busy.
After the game, there is also only one train an hour from Coventry Arena to Coventry City Centre at 50 minutes past the hour. I'd say it will be bedlam trying to get on the 14.50 from the ground back to Coventry.
We need to get to Birmingham Airport by about 4pm for our flight home. From Coventry to Birmingham airport, there are no trains and only a bus replacement service in operation. Anybody with some local knowledge know the best way of us ensuring we get to BHX airport before 4pm? We are prepared to use local taxis, Uber, Buses, trains etc.
On previous occasions in the UK, before and after matches, we always seem to have problems getting an Uber. In Swansea for example, we had to walk from the ground into the city centre after the game. Before the game, the Uber system couldn't connect to a driver and luckily, we got a normal taxi from the station and arrived with minutes to spare. This is about the 4th or 5th occasion we have had transport troubles when in the UK. We had problems getting to Stansted one time, Sunderland (with the metro), problems from Leicester to Birmingham Airport, Swansea and now, Coventry. Is it just greedy train drivers looking for extra money or what?
If anybody can advise, would appreciate any local information, thanks.

No idea about shuttle bus but I guess so. Are the Euston trains running then?I assume they still do the shuttle buses from the ground to the city centre/station.
If I can get myself out of bed it’s the 6:14 from Brighton and 7:55 from Euston. Bit of light refreshment in the city the Germans had the right idea about and hopefully a bit of blackjack after while the crowd drifts off

Don't tell colYeah not as many as normal and the one I’m on is reasonably slow. None of those fast Avanti ones I think.
Thinking about it will Norwich fans be heading there via Euston too? That’ll be nice.
Don't tell col
Fingy you do know that Birmingham Airport is a complete shambles at the moment? Massive building works restricting access and hugely (hundreds) short staffed on security. This week a lot of people have missed flights due to delays getting into the airport and then through security, been all over the local news. However if that were the case, with us now safe, we may have just rolled over. Now both teams have the footballing skills to still make this match an interesting "exhibition" contest.........It's a pity they're not in with a playoff chance as might have been a cracking game.
I’m going with Col. We’re having a picnic on the train. Beth is bringing the gear. We do it for the last game every year.

We really should meet up at a game next season youngun.
Bring your own plant potWe’re all meeting for Barnsley away.
Thanks for that Stan. Fast track security at only a fiver a head looks a good bet. Cheers.Fingy you do know that Birmingham Airport is a complete shambles at the moment?
