I know but they probably feeling they've climbed the mountain and are keen to try and cement their place only to find the clubs chasing them will get to exploit the new rule. The entire idea I find confusing..... I don't understand how it makes anything sustainable... not that I care but I need an explanation on how it works tbh.

Villa have been blown out the water with our Adidas deal in comparison to theirs, and blown out the water with shirt sponsorship and sleeve sponsorship in comparison to theirs.
The % part is isn't good for Newcastle either, but it's the anchoring there's two figures at play it's a game changer and they voted against it. The salary cap alone wouldn't be good for Newcastle as we're already at around 75 % Villa 82% and they have their own adidas deal aswel as champions league money and sponsorship opportunities themselves remember.
