Good Morning. It's Thursday 2nd May, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Should Leeds go for broke on Saturday

It's gonna take a miracle for Leeds to make up the three point deficit, and finish above the Tractor Boys, so, would it make more sense to rest some players ahead of the play off's?

Giving certain players (Summerville, Gruev, Rutter, Gray, Ampadu and Rodon) the day off, may give them valuable recovery time, ahead of the play off's, but at the same time, any vague hopes we have for automatic promotion further diminish!

Not only would Leeds need to beat Southampton, but relegated Huddersfield Town would have to overcome Ipswich Town on their own turf. Even at their very best, the Terriers winning at Portman Road is highly unlikely; and that is before investigation the tenuous relationship the Whites share with their Yorkshire foes!

    Liverpool line up Summerville bid

Liverpool are plotting the capture of Leeds star Crysencio Summerville this Summer, according to multiple reports in the press.

The 22yo Dutchman has been on Liverpool's radar for a while, and have sent multiple scouting missions to follow his progress this season. His 20 goals, 9 assists and best player in the Championship tag, has caught the attention of many top flight clubs, both in Europe and the Premier League!

Leeds have been quick to slap a £40m price tag on their star asset who has two years left on his contract. There has been talk of a cash plus player deal involving Reds reject Nat Phillips, after showing good form for Cardiff Day since his January loan move.

Morning all. Of course we have to try and win. Imagine putting out a weakened team, drawing and Huddersfield somehow win. It'd be a sackable offence for Farke. Why would any of our players need a rest anyway, they haven't played in a month. As for outgoings, let's see where we are next season. As for Saturdays game, I feel privileged along with Galway whites crew to play our part in the final day of the season. It's imperative every fan in the ground gives the lads a huge send off into the playoffs if that's the case. Season has been a huge success and thoroughly enjoyable given everything that's gone on in pre season and they need to feel that from the terraces

    Morning all.

We have to go for a win, exactly the reasons outlined by Eire, even if Ipswich thrash Huddersfield we need to go into the playoffs on a good performance and win, not two defeats.

Summerville will no doubt be off if we stay down, go up and I’m not bothered who stays or goes as we’ll be planning a different future

    Morning all.

Totally agree with Eire and Ristac on this one. It would be shocking if we didnt just go out for a win with a 1st selection squad. I also think that the fans would turn on Farke if he did anything different to this.

Cant see Hudders beating Ipswitch on their turf. Mind you, miracles do happen, albeit not very often..

    Morning Leeds fans.

The first leg of the play-off semi is May 12th. The QPR game was April 26th. Do the players really need that much time off? I'd say 8 days is enough.

Eire's point is also very valid, but there's also a great chance that we'd meet Southampton in the final. Do we want to hand them a psychological advantage by letting them beat us at home the week before the play-offs start?

Start with the strongest team. If Ipswich are thrashing the dog botherers then Farke can consider bringing some players off.

Morning play our strongest side and get some winning confidence back. Plus they need to entertain the crowd especially brother Eire and his west of Ireland crew.

They shouldn't need resting, they're professional athletes who only work 90 minutes a week, sometimes 180 if there's a bit of overtime going.
Don't know what they do in training but if the poor souls are being put through tough gruelling circuit training by Farke he should stop that and just have them practicing shots on goal, how to take corners and free kicks and last but not least how, to pass a ball to your team mates, nice steady training before some of our biggest games of the season.

And play your strongest and best team tomorrow farke you ****ing one trick pony twat.

Anyone watching Farke's press conference? He's changed it tune.. Now hes coming out with excuses about being the youngest team who is fighting for promotion.. Also playing down their bad form since the last international break.. Hmmmm....

What would you realistically expect him to say. The alternative is to throw the team under the bus. He has to try install confidence into them before the playoffs

Afternoon all, not much to add as the reason for going for the win has been nailed by the posts on here. Would be nice if something completely un leedsy could happen this weekend so praying for the miracle but expecting the inevitable <ok>

Good point. All I said though that he’s changed his approach. From never looking at the table, to now changing his excuses and approach..

We absolutely have to go for a win. Why throw the towel in when there is still a chance however remote it may be? What will be, will be but we need to end the season on a winning note.
