Humiliated by Blackpool and now outplayed by Barnsley, all at fortress Elland Road. Throw in a further two points thrown away against Coventry. How much worse have things to get before Bates sees the light. Grayson is past his sell by date and must be moved on now. No point in waiting till February when our season will be all but over

Eire last week when we played poorly but beat Burnley you said sod the performance at least we won,but some of us on here were looking at the bigger picture & weren't so happy, recognising the fact that we'd been poor most games,& that the victories we'd achieved were just papering over the cracks. It's not just Bates who needs to see the light, the majority of our supporters need to do so. We can't keep thinking along the lines of"so what if we played poorly,we won didn't we?" I'm glad to see you now realise that playing poorly on a consistent basis inevitably results in failure.
Time for change. Time to get someone in who can inspire the players from the first whistle,& time to get a manager in who will finally sort the defence out.

Up to a point, I care more about results than performances. Unfortunately, when performances are crap in three games out of every four, this will eventually take its toll. Cant keep scoring last minute winners. I think were overestimating the quality of what we have. By and large a fairly avarage bunch it seems

Still think the squad is pretty good - just the defence worries me no end.
Thought Sam was decent at Burnley last week, but I just think Grayson only chose him because of that. Pugh would've made much more sense, he gives us more balance down the left. And he can cover White at LB when White goes forward, which really injects some pace into our play. Might be the only one that thinks Howson and Clayton isn't a good enough midfield partnership, but I just think we're lacking too much steel in there, and not getting the best out of Howson.
Maybe back to a 4-2-3-1? If he's not going to get the defence sorted, might as well get back to scoring 3 a game instead.

I think Bates has his finger on the trigger....:bandit:
The defence has been the issue for two seasons.

Cant comment on the game yesterday as i was not there! but the frustration of more of the same from last season is huge.
We were so innconsistent and its the same this season.
I dont mind playing badly and getting 3 points, every team in every league does that from time to time.

I just wonder what a new Manager would bring us in terms of motivation, leadership and tactical awareness. Dont see us going anywhere this season with the current Management team! :emoticon-0149-no:

We were lucky that other teams dropped points but as last season not taking our oppoutunity cost will cost us again....

    Finally..
    Barnsley FFS......:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry

Well since hes taken over, we have conceded 142 goals in 138 games, thats 3 full seasons! Lets not forget the season before that when he had taken over in Jan!

Then people are going to say, yeah but look how many goals we have scored?? You look at the 3 seasons and you will see weve been outscored by teams and still they have conceded a quater less than us! ****ing joke really.

    Your 5th. With little resources.

Who do you think you could get you higher with little or no money.?

I support Cardiff. You were one of the better teams ive seen against us this season. I say team as well. Apart from Snodgrass I wouldnt swap any of your players for ours. But Grayson somehow has you 5th.

You lost a game. Thats all. This division throws up unexpected results.

Southampton lost to Bristol City and they really are crap.

I get your point about the division and it does but when you have a Manager who has done nothing about the poor back four and the fact we needed a decent DM for two seasons and he goes and signs another two strikers.....
DM.... Brown signed in the summer....not good enough

ther little money he got he is not spending it well!
Also its not all down to the money....
Tactical awareness, leadership, motivation! - it seems Larry has lost that and we need to change.

The game Tuesday will be a defining moment in that!

Ok dont know the ins and outs of everything.

Ross McCormack. A steal at the price. He was overweight and a shadow of the player he was when with us. How much is he worth now. Last season at our place you had Paynter. Useless! Hasnt Grayson bombed him out.

We conceded 4 against Pboro. Theres not much in this division.

If you had millions and were underachieving fair enough. Leeds have a history as a big club. But these days financially you are the same as virtually all the teams in this league. And Grayson has you 5th. If you were down the bottom fair enough.

Be realistic. Youd have to pay him off. Do you want Dennis Wise or another mate of Bates. You definately wont get a top name like O'Neill.

I'd rather see any of the following installed as manager than have clueless, uninspiring, tactically inept Grayson in charge:

    Poyet
    Di Matteo
    Holloway
    Lee Clark
    Roberto Martinez

Ill address some of those points. Ross mc Cormack, fair point, and prob worth about 1.5 million in todays market.
Paynter signed by Grayson in first place so no credit for loaning him out. Dont think id want O'Neill, hes too quick to walk away from clubs at slightest problem. No big deal with being fifth. Were already out of auto with no chance of making them this season. Playoffs are shag all use as its a lottery, I think Cardiff are the best example of that. Reason I wasnt at game yesterday, I live in Ireland and cant afford it. Dont feel any reason to apologise and my opinion as a supporter of over forty years counts as much as anyone elses

Apart from that fact adam clayton would walk straight into your starting 11! Best creative midfielder in the championship! But what do u do when your surrounded by a lot of average players. Snoddy, rosco, white and lees and def longergan. Everybody else just arnt good enough for us.

    Clayton is a good player.

Whittingham is the best creative player in the division - by a mile.

Agreed-Whittingham's a class act. Him alongside Clayton would be an awesome midfield partnership.
