And Holt is no cheat, he just capitalises on others incompitence. His positioning for his goal was very good and he came close seconds before that.

 

How ironic that your goal came from a collection of defensive errors. Of course you didn't notice that.

 

What I think PL was trying to yesterday, as QPR could be considered at a very similar level to us is (bearing in mind they have a few regulars out as well), was to find out in his own mind for sure who is going to make way for new players in January.

Surman is a prime candidate, as I believe is Crofts - as well as they did for us last season I think they will be gone soon. De Laet may well go back from his loan & Zak Whitbread will probably also vanish

 

Carra - to be fair the ball was intercepted mid way inside your half and Mackie still had a lot of running to do. We scored because Luke Young kept going and managed to get an accurate low shot in between post and defender. Both Norwich goals were from very close range. Not a criticism - players have to be in the right place to take advantage

Unfortunately the bottom line for both of our clubs is that neither are great sides - there is little to choose between us in terms of points and our totals in any other division would see us sit rather lower than we both currently are. Both are much nearer the drop zone than the top on points

The PL will continue to be dominated by the really big spenders - and I don't think that we will ever fall into this category, even with the current owners - and both of us need to be canny enough with signings in January (and hopefully next season) to consolidate in this league

I've always enjoyed (apart usually from the results) my visits to Norwich - a great city, with very fair-minded (in the main) fans - and look forward to the return fixture
