All you whinging, booing, negative, abusive sheep.

You collectively are doing as much damage to our performances on the field as any manager - however inept.

I walked away from the ground yesterday saddened not by the honest endeavour of the team and another poor result, but by what our once great support has now become.

Be ashamed, you know who you are.

A definition for the hard of thinking:

    supporter [səˈpɔːtə]
    n
    1. a person who or thing that acts as a support
    2. a person who backs a sports team, politician, etc

I know exactly what you mean, no problem with Bruce Out after the game but, You Fat Geordie Bastard, I sat in disgust and many around me looked as sick and ashamed as I did.

Maybe I'm just from a different time.

I don't think anyone stopped supporting the team it was solely the inept manager that any boos or chants were aimed at. Its in the best interests of Safc that Bruce is removed from his post and i wholly support those who vocalist their frustration with the completely clueless and inept Bruce.

Nah it's not because of anything like that; Bruce is a genuine guy who wants to do his best. He is doing poorly and so chants about wanting him out are very understandable, but to personally insult him I think is just unfair especially seeing as he is a decent lad who hasn't done anything malicious, just lost his way at work.

Spot on Skalpel, but I fear you'll have Cest tearing at your throat shortly.

I have recently entered the BoB camp but there is no room for personal abuse aimed at SB-Bruce out is acceptable IMO.I have supported the great club of ours since the 1950's and it saddens me to see what is happening.
Something needs to change before we're in a relegation scrap;I feel that a shrewd businessman like Short must now seriously think of getting rid of Steve Bruce even if it costs £2-3million rather than lose the Premiership riches next season-that calculation is not rocket science.
Let's get behind our great club even if we don't approve of the Manager.

    Spot on Blackcat.

I like you was disgusted at the personal insults aimed at Bruce.

But i am afraid this is the mentality of many of todays so called "Supporters"

I used to be proud of the loyalty of our fans but now we are just like all the others.

Maybe it is time for a change but the personal insults are out of order!!

Listen, we were (and still are) 100% behind the club come matchday, but the fervour and clamour for Bruces head has only increased significantly in volume over the last 2 home games against teams in the bottom 6 that we managed to claim 1 point from. We are not fortunate enough to be manager of SAFC, we can see that the team try to play football (for half a game anyhow!) for which every piece of skill, flair or plain and simple pass and move stuff, gets applauded for by an appreciative, knowledgable crowd. Surely what we can all see is that the teamsheet lacks real cohesion and FORWARD thinking. We need Brucie to take appropriate action with his team selections and tactics which will hopefully assist in the accumulation of points, therefor keeping the crowd on his side. BUT when he continues to play the same cards, using the same negative tactics and continue to underperform, then he deserves every boo and cuss that comes his way (minus the personally offensive abuse).

Listen, the 3rd of March is only 13 weekends away...... and if we dont want a repeat of Halloween...... (pause - breath....) ....then now is the time :steam:

If he had us top he'd happily take the pats on the back so he has to take the rough with the smooth I'm afraid.

Most people can learn from their own mistakes but he can't it seems.

He knows we can't play 451, we aint no Barca FFS!

To play one upfront at home to Wigan was a crazy decision & no ones fault but his.

I think he's just **** scared of getting beat & shows no ambition. He's a dead man walking IMHO.

In all walks of life, if you're **** at your job you get the boot, simple fact.

As Gary Bennet stated on the radio, the only way the fans can do owt is by staying away.

I have become desensitised to it now & from now on will expect a defeat in every game & will not build up my hopes anymore.

Anything more than nil pois will then be a bonus.

36 years I have followed them & in all that time the only reasons I have missed games have been down to financial reasons, being abroad or poor health but I'm done until he's gone.

Bruce, Short & Quinn can do what they like, my mind is made up.

Strangely Billy i discussed this with my mates yesterday. I've only missed 4 home games in my time due to work or hols but if he isn't sacked after yesterday maybe the only thing that could work is a stay away? it would be hard but surely the message would get across. i can't see us getting anything at wolves and blackburn are better than wigan so f**knows where our next point is coming from with Bruce at the helm.

id have sacked him long before now.
    Wba 1 point
    villa 1 point
    fulham 1 point
    wigan 0 points

good management and wed have taken 10-12 points off that lot

You're not syd, I was truly ashamed to be a sunderland fan yesterday, say what you will about bruce and his ability as a manager I was disgusted to be part of a mob that labels people by their weight and their birthplace, if it happened in the street you would be arrested and prosecuted, I wish that the same was possible within the ground, I do not want to be associated in any way with such people

Insults imo were over the top, but Bruce has to accept it, you need thick skin to be a manager nowadays.

    Agreed Syd.
Absolutely no need for all the personal grief Bruce is getting.
I want him out 'cause he's had his time for me. I don't hate the bloke.

    Smooth skin ;)

It's a shame that people resorted to insults, but what can we do about it?
