We just cannot let this happen, player of the season so far That short Flasher Mac wearing Paddy can look elsewhere, we are not a feeder club for the teams in the Valley's http://www.newsnow.net/A/534812248?-276
I have had a nasty suspicion that he would come back again for Marriapa, so it may well come down to getting the right price. Even if we did get a very good fee for him, just what would it do to our defence? Seeing as we are likely to lose NN in January, to have to build a new back four could be very dangerous.
It just goes to show that Judas has no imagination and no ability to find his own players - ultimately it means he will always being a "buying" manager and has to be at a club with deep pockets.
Perm any 2 from 4 - Taylor, Mirfin, Bennett, Thompson? It would obviously be a major blow if AM were to leave, but that's the reality of football - in the main, players do move on to either better their careers or their bank balance, so we'd just have to get on with it. Out of those 4 named, I'd actually say Thompson for one spot and have the other 3 fighting for the remaining one. I think we're fairly well off for defenders, although TJ is an unknown quantity.
Seems a bit harsh w-y. He has only been there a dog watch so will not have had time to set up an internal academy - and if he did would you accuse him of lacking imagination and copying us. He is in the Prem with little money so can't compete for huge name players so will buy where he can to strengthen. What is more natural than to look at players you already know. Don't all managers do that? What strategy do you think he could undertake that would meet your approval?
Spend some of the Prem money to set up an academy and are we the only club with players that might be more suitable to the Prem? As I said little imagination and obviously a poor scouting set-up as well - quite surprised he has not been on the phone to The Chosen One to see who he should be looking at.
To be honest, I think Malky has done far far worse... Other than McAnuff (who only really consistently performed under Rodgers anyway) who has Rodgers taken from us? If he thinks Mariappa is Premiership quality, and is willing to pay the price, then I think good luck to Aidy, and good luck to Swansea. I bear far less grudge to the Swans than I do to the Bluebirds!
I'm with you there Kev - Malky is the one who poached our entire club. As I said before - if they come up with good money then a deal will be done - I owuld only object if they try to get him on the cheap - but that is for Baz to resist
We knew they were in for him in the Summer, it's no surprise they're back sniffing, i just hope he stays, we really need him.
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...9323.Sordell__touch_and_go__for_Robins_visit/ Not great news...hopefully he'll be ok...fingers crossed..
Will be interesting to see how the team lines up if he is forced to change! Will he just bring in Beattie for him (Most likely) What will the midfield be? With Hogg, he can rotate him and Eustace, so JE doesn't have to play 2 games a week. Could he try a midfield 3 of Hogg, Eustace and Bauben, but means no-one really playing of CI...
Well, i say good luck to the fans, having to watch the hoofing.... but I do wish him luck and hope he succeeds!
Only when CI plays though, so only 90% of the time! Good luck AB, i'm guessing this is his last chance to get it right...i hope he does...
He's chosen a toughie - their defence is shipping goals like Scott Loach after a bender! I think this will really test him - they've had some horrible pastings recently and look firm candidates for the dreaded drop out of the League. Best of luck to him.
I wish Aidy a lot of luck and hope he succeeds there. He has fallen a long way to near the bottom League 2 from aspiring to Premiership glory. Underneath I fee he is a good man and I hope he does well
