Morning Cyc hope you are well <ok>

A horse that fell on hurdling debut in a race won by Brampour. Then ran in the Triumph Hurdle, finishing way down the field. His 3rd start was in the Grade 2 Persian War Novices Hurdle where he never got into it. Fourth and final start in a conditional jockeys novice hurdle, where he finished 8th beaten 49 lengths. Today makes his handicap debut off a mark of 115 in the lucky last at Leicester. Are the Pipe yard at it again? Trop Fort is the horse. Will probably finish tailed off but they must have seen something to enter him in those big races????

Bet365 have him 3rd in the list at 9/2.

Don McCain should be in the winners again at Carlisle and I'll nap Avenging Ace in the opener who should oblige for Tim Leslie.

It was only a couple of miles against not much, but I thought Prospect Wells went ok. Has he a chance over some ground in some of the bigger Novice hurdle races?

Hardly an auspicious start was it? I do prefer coming from behind though :)

Yes, looks a really top prospect IMHO - strong traveller and very slick over his hurdles. RV tells me his is on at 20s for the Supreme Novices and I think that looks a decent bet at this stage - top price 14s this morning <ok>

I really liked the way he cleared out in the last furlong. He looked strong.

I was saying to RV yesterday, it was a perfect example of why a jockey needs a whip. He was idling in front and running all over the place. A corrective stroke with each hand from Ruby and he straightened up and quickened right away up the run-in.

He travelled and jumped impressively. When he hit the front he started wandering but once Ruby corrected him he went right away in the manner of a very good horse. I wasn't particularly impressed with him in the paddock yesterday. He looked a bit light compared to at Cheltenham. I thought he might be in danger of running flat but that didn't appear to be the case. Interesting to see what Nicholls does with him. If he were mine I think I would put him away until the spring. One more run and then to the Supreme, or even go straight there.

Nicholls said post race: "He will probably go to Ascot in a fortnight and then have a break until the spring, where you'd expect him to end up in the Supreme at Cheltenham."

I'd be inclined to give Ascot a miss to be honest but I'm sure Mr Nicholls knows a little better than me!

    Definitely smart.

    Morning chaps <ok>

Odddy - very happy to be on at 20s mate - he runs again in a fortnight before having a break. Another good performance should see him shorten again. I don't know if he will be good enough come Cheltenham but should run a big race and the Supreme remains the target. As for that Trop Fort i backed it last time out and said never again. Might give in to the old pipe gamble though

Btw Danedream ooo dear- anyone still going to tell me she is as good as Zarkava ?? yeah right

Tingle Creek is shaping up to be a proper race. I'm definitely going on the Sat because the supporting card looks half decent as well. Should be a great day.
