19 goals conceded at home that's ya problem mate, can't help but think a team that can beat Stoke 5-0 and win 4-0 at QPR can't get relegated. But 10 defeats from 13 and 6 home defeats from 7 home games suggests otherwise.

 

Exactly. To be fair, we played Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City and home. We haven't got the best of defences, so they exploited them. The problem is that we think we are Stoke, constantly booting it up the pitch and losing possession because of it.

Everyone said last season that Coyle had us playing positive football, well stats showed Bolton had done the 4th most long passes (30 yards +) through the whole season. This year we must be first. It's negative football if anything.

Dire football AND we're losing games. Not a good combo.

 

What's gone wrong I remember last year being surprised at how good the football Bolton were playing was when you beat us 5-1 at the Reebok.

 

Didn't Einstein say something about insanity being shown by doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? Owen Coyle seems to have adopted this philosophy.

Tried to progress from half Big Sam football/ half Coyle football to fully Coyle football. It's ended up as a combination of Megson, Kean and Pulis without the money, the inbred fans and the ginger hair.

Our MOTD coverage was really geared towards making Man Utd look hard done by. Even the relatively pointless incident of them not getting a corner was shown and after the offside goal the commentator says: "Yet another close decision not going Man Utd's way!"

Crazy, as Leazes said on his obligatory drunken rant thread, so many 50/50 decisions went their way, and the ref's inconsistent yellowing wasn't shown on MOTD either. HBA gets carded for running up and pointing at his head and Cabaye gets carded for throwing the ball onto the floor in anger, yet when all of their players swarm the ref - nothing, when Rooney kicks into Colo - nothing, when Rooney pushed Guthrie (I think it was) and stormed off when we got the free kick - nothing, Fabio was taking the piss with the number of yellows he could have had too.

 

how can you honestly think Rooney lashed out at the player and not the ball? Even Collo didn't make a fuss and got up and shaked hands. If you think that's a a bit violent and a red card you're crazy.

That goal was a fluke!! Could of been 0-0 if you take away both the lucky goals.
