If our fans damage an away end then we pay for it, same for them if theirs damage our ground - it's not a difficult concept to grasp. And as Baz was trying to play it down at the time, the 40 k to one coach was used as one example to illustrate it cost Acun a lot more than it should have.

Hull City can confirm a third allocation has been given to the club for the final game of the season away at Plymouth Argyle. After selling out two allocations, the Tigers have received an extra small allocation of around 200 tickets for the trip to Home Park. Tiger Travel is also available. Tickets are on sale now, but will be for collection only as we are not due to receive them until tomorrow afternoon. Tickets can be collected from the Ticket Office at the MKM Stadium from Wednesday at 10am or from Plymouth on the day. If you would like to collect your tickets from Plymouth on the day we ask that you please call us to confirm this or email [email protected]. https://www.wearehullcity.co.uk/new...gLHC_mOudjmVguTLbNvbXKfj9rI1RChETpKrabxzSeuP2
So, was one coach damaged to the tune of £40,000 or not? That suggests all the seats and windows were totally destroyed. Which would have meant the coach was unable to travel back to Hull. Any figures for what we have been charged for damage to away ends! Or vice versa?
Any real amount of vandalism would normally get posted on social media by someone. It does seem a little far fetched that serious amounts of damaged have been caused over several instances without some one sharing what the ‘hull city hooligans’ have done.
Surely ticket revenue is a big part of it though? Everyone likes to use the trope that ticket sales have no effect on budget but that doesn’t make sense to me. Why do you think Acun is trying so hard to increase the number of people coming to the stadium? If you can get 25k people paying as much as they can each week it would make a difference especially for a team like us.
Why wouldn't you believe it. There were 2 club sources sitting there stating as a matter of fact. it won't be happening again because the owners fingers got burnt my a minority of fans costing the club a lot more than anticipated. Argue black is white all you want. Doesn't change we won't see the scheme back for that reason.
Ditto on a situation iwas involved with, front page news too. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
A bit like that woman on the HDM saying City fans were chanting Not Enough Died at QPR fans at the town full of bombers game. To be fair to QPR fans they wrote to national papers that carried the story to say it never happened. Yet she repeated the lie in a column 4 or 5 weeks later. No retractions in the HDM needless to say.
