Obviously its had an impact, one that should be applauded. The previous owner alienated the fanbase and our attendances fell off a cliff, the job the new owner has done has been pretty much faultless and deserves universal praise. He's done such a good job, that he's put the prices up for next season and still almost nobody is complaining.
Shut up daft lad. How are going to compete in terms of FFP if our income is low compared to other clubs?
Point is how many will stay when prices go up? Look at prices other clubs which are getting bigger crowds are charging. They are getting a bigger income.
He has done great, and as you say should be applauded. But we will still be far cheaper than most other clubs. One day they will have to go up by quite a bit more and what will happen then? Will all those dads taking kids because it is cheap continue to do so?
Not for me to agree with Castro but Acun’s generosity must have limits, especially with FFP. Can’t expect him to keep signing big players for big fees on big wages without a steady revenue stream. I’m fine with my membership going from £35 to £40 a month because it’s still brilliant value for money and the discounted tickets have certainly helped with attendances and improving the general mood, but it’s not a sustainable long-term plan. The club offered free travel last season but phased it out this year.
Fully understand your point re finances. Obviously Ajun wants City in the prem and full noisy crowds are a must in Turkey. Young uns tend to make the noise. Re finances when clubs are in the prem I’m not sure the money generated is the big difference for clubs with smaller grounds. Let’s face it if every club dropped the price by a tenner it would help the fan but not really impact the club. Pay the players and agents too much but charge the fan.
No ones disputing that and acun certainly wont see it as long term But this was about the highest average gates since the 60s And like always castro compares and belittles the club with others He always does it
Just shows our gates have not been that good for over 60 years. Thought it was highest total? Which is 2 more games now than in the 1960s? Is our average better than the 5 seasons we were in the PL? Or the promotion to PL seasons?
Very young ones at the cheapest prices with their dads don’t make a lot of noise. A lot of the stadium is very quiet. North Stand and a section in East Stand make some noise regularly but West Stand, right under the cameras, is barely audible.
In reality gate receipts barely move the needle once you get past league 1. Assuming that we are still at 16k members the average increase of £5 per month raises about £1m per year plus whatever you get in terms of concessions and shop sales. It’s nothing to be scoffed at by any means but in reality the main driver of money is player sales and TV money.

It’s not the highest average, it’s the highest aggregate over a season. In our Premier League years, when the averages were similar to this season, the most we could get in during a season was around 486,000.
A tenner for 16-22 is a great price and these are the ones who make noise. Yes it can be quiet but Ajun is working at the problem. Clearly the Ipswich match showed how it can be.
Thought that when I saw it. Was the girl visually disabled and using the headphones for guidance and a commentary? It appeared she was. Or was it aural problems? Either way a good gesture.
IF we were to sell every seat (25,000) as a season ticket with a £100 increase it would only bring in an additional 2.5 million. I can't see ticket prices having much influence on FFP
It was on twitter about this, the Ipswich players slowed their pace down to keep up with her. Not sure what her problems are but it was well done by both teams.
Hold up. Is there some kind of unfortunate glare on the camera or that a deliberate hairstyle choice?
