So, it looks like the 3 teams promoted last season will be relegated. PL is a closed shop like it was in the 2000s. I know we want to progress as a club but does anyone on here crave a return to the PL in it's current guise? Scraping around for 10 wins a season and having almost every goal celebration ruined by VAR? Not for me Clive...
If Burnley survive they'll need to beat Newcastle, at home, on Saturday ... ... I'd like them to drop but, on the other hand.
It's a weird thing isn't it, pushing and hoping for an outcome that will almost certainly make you miserable for a year (or several). If you're lucky, your team will only lose half of their games in the first year up and some of those points will come from scrapping for a point off a Fulham or Bournemouth team filled with £30-40m players. I guess the question to answer is which set of fans are happier, Boro fans or Everton fans? One winning plenty of games but not going up. The other losing plenty of games but always staying up.
Tbf to Burnley they looked dead and buried months ago but they’ve put up a decent fight of late. 1 defeat in 8. I’m sure they’ll be bang up for it against the filth but that’s a tough game with Isak on fire currently.
Company said they had only got up to the Premier football pace by Christmas. Probably explains how they've managed to match teams in these past few months
I said at work today I fancy Burnley to stay up. Its not all over at the bottom yet. Shame Everton are safe like.
This game is poor. Sky must've been gutted Leeds lost on Friday so this ended up being essentially a dead rubber.
If I wasn't going to our game i'd definitely watch Birmingham. I absolutely hate them and would love to see Norwich take them apart.
That’s a great question. Think I sway towards a season of enjoying lots of wins with no VAR , to counter short term disappointment of missing promotion
Bayern Munich v Real Madrid semi final 1st leg later on tonight Hoping for a classic. Feel like Bayern really need a lead to take into the 2nd leg.
