I was watching through my fingers at the end and didn't realise just how good that triple block was. Determinedly defending what you've got. Quality.
For some reason, players get better in supporter's eyes when they aren't playing. Jacob is better defensively than Giles so I don't see how he'd have been the answer yesterday.
Philogenes decision making is .... poor... at 2:20 ...if he looks up Carvalho has a clear attempt....
I watched the highlights, while their 2nd & 3rd goals were outstanding & worthy of any game, their defending on that first one was hilarious! It, unfortunately, reminded me of some of our abysmal play out from the back. As for Ohio, I saw him v Stoke & thought he looked a decent player, although we never got the ball to him in that game, there was too much passing back & not enough looking forward. From what I saw on my feed last night, we’ve changed that considerably. So Ohio is already a bit of a marmite player, I liked what I saw previously, but this past week, he’s looking like he’s settled & has the ability at this level, if we don’t go up, I really don’t expect us to, I’d like to think we’d make a move for him permanently. He can only get better!
I have nothing against you at all and you are a great bunch of lads probably thr best forum in the championship board but I want Plymouth to at least get a point to help ensure that those arrogant cnuts at Birmingham go down! Norwich may well do the job any way but just to make sure I would like Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday to both pick up points. Sorry guys!
Errr... Probably don't stick around too long otherwise you might change your mind! Really enjoyed the game last night. This one, in particular means a lot to me due to being a Hull fan and living in Stowmarket until I was 19. It pains me to say that over the two matches Ipswich were the best team I've seen us play this season. And tbf I'll be quite happy to see you get promoted, which feels weird to say! Would be amazing to be in there with you though. I never really believed Ipswich would keep it up as they have, so fair play, it would be thoroughly deserved.
Is it? Why? All he said was ‘no hard feelings but I want Plymouth to pick up points so that another team get relegated instead as personal preference’. Seems like an entirely reasonable and non-hostile post.
I mean he could have just said "I hope Norwich win to send Birmingham down" it's not as if Plymouth need a point to send Birmingham down. It's going out of his way to say "Lol sorry no hard feelings but hope you don't make the play offs"
He did say, buried in the post 'Norwich may well do the job anyway' so could have just left it at that. As Evington said, it was just an oddly phrased post.
That's an amazing stat. It really isn't said enough what an incredible job Acun and City have done of getting the crowds back to this extent. No one dared to think it'd get to these levels. Some people scoffed that our support was fickle and just used the Allams as a convenient excuse to stop attending. That myth has been emphatically debunked.
It is legitimate to ask what the crowds would have been if the prices had been at the level some other clubs were, cheapest season passes around £500 and cheapest on the day tickets around £40 with kids paying as much as those a lot older do. They would improved but not to the extent that they have.
WBA are likely coming top 6 on the back of their home performances, ditto Norwich tbh - think they've both only won 6 away all season, I'd feel a lot more comfortable if they were away rather than at home
No, it's a fantastic achievement and any attempt to put a negative spin on it is completely unnecessary.
