Mate we were in the third division for years. This is our second season outside of it and both have been comfortable. I would’ve snapped your hand off for that 5 years ago. As would any Sunderland fan.

As has been said, form is temporary. If Ipswich fail to go up automatically, I’d love it to fall apart as they could end up in hot water. Whereas we’ve done things financially right. It’s not what fans want in real terms, but it’s what the club needs. I reckon, with a fully fit squad this season, we’d have pushed much better and been a lot closer to teams like these

 

I think the next couple of years is going to see a change in the way clubs operate and a lot will get penalties/points deductions due to FFP. It might just be that KLD keeping his powder dry is the best thing that could have happened to us

Change in the rule required. Should be clear daylight between defender and attacker for me. Offside by an arse cheek or toenail is spoiling a good game again

Completely agree. A toenail offside isn't an advantage. The FA/PL/UEFA need to look at these laws again

 

Was saying that ages ago, needs updating as toe offside is pathetic

 

Just saw this…since when did a team get a trophy for finishing 2nd in the league? Games gone.
