I am sure that you will all be delighted to hear that The Damned have sold enough tickets for Thursday night at The Roundhouse, to announce Friday night's show as well (actually it hasn't been officially announced, but is openly known by fans). I don't think that I've seen them 3 straight nights at the same venue...before. That'll make 8 shows this year.... Rumours abound as to what will be happening next year with the boys. There's a covers album in the can, but as yet, no indication of any release date. 2025 sees the 40th anniversary of the release of their best selling album, Phantasmagoria and a build up to the 50th anniversary in 2026. That, and Dave's impending divorce, tend to show that suggestions that the band are going to 'hang it up' are likely to be unfounded.
For everyone that wanted to see a ridiculous gorgeous Chilean model in a bucket hat covering Carcass.

Charlie Harper is 80 this year. Real name not a clue. Beki Bondage is 60 so you're 1year older. I spent some time with her when she was 17 in Bristol. Most of the time in the pub( The Crown, I think)
UK Subs are playing the Shepherds Bush Empire tonight. Unfortunately, I can't make it, as they've been on great form when I've seen them in the last year. I saw Vice Squad in '81, I think. Definitely a little while before 'Stand Strong' came out, and again just after. To my mind, she looks better today than ever...and on the night, she did a belting 'Nutbush City Limits' and continues to compere the awards brilliantly. I haven't seen her perform live for so long, I can't remember when it was...
Excellent! Hawkwind largely passed me by for some reason. Although this track (despite an overlong intro) stuck and the lyrics amused me.
I went off them for a while due to the fact that they turned up to any field with a crowd of crusties carrying a can of special brew and a dog on a bit of string Lately after my brother graciously returned a load of their albums that he stole from me ( actually it was an exchange , I got my Hawkwind, Iggy and Sabbath albums and he got his Simply Red and 2 Lionel Richie ) Check out, Hawkwind, warrior on the edge of time ,Hall of the mountain grill, apart from the obvious in search of space and Doremi Farsol latido YouTube has some very good trancy remixes uploaded by fans
