No butter for me…the cream cancels the need for it

 

I have no problem with this. Butter is an option and one I have dabbled in
Its the order thats Important

Cream
Jam
Butter (Optional)
Scone

... and no placing any of them in the wrong positions, it just won't work I tell you!

Also, I prefer Clotted Cream, but have accepted the whipped double alternative and found it acceptable (and not only in the Dungeon)

A savoury version is also possible, with Cheese Scones, Cream Cheese and Chilli Jam

PS All versions are basically Red & White - COYS

 

I have recently discovered a peach jam in one of my local supermarkets and it has become my go to accompaniment with my morning toast.

I doubt he’d recognise a scone if it slapped him in the kisser, but either way he’d undoubtedly eat it with a knife and fork
