I thought we would finish about 10th so this exceeds my expectations. Onwards and upwards next season.
Back in August, yes..... But how the seasons gone, with Jan window, with how close we've been and the obvious changes that needed to be made but where made to late. It's a huge missed opportunity and a disappointment
You cant ask for more than laying it out... didnt see the game (Alex Burgess great commentator I think BTW) listened on Humberside, but good to hear players giving other players pelters for silly errors. Well done all... Still in it...!@!!!
Given our goal difference, we still need WBA or Norwich to not win both of their remaining games. Even with WBAs recent form, that's a tall order.
Yep. You’ve got statistically the worst shot-stopper in the league who makes an individual goalkeeping error every other game. It took two games for Ingram to be dropped since Allsop signed and Allsop has played every league game since. Rosenior couldn’t wait to drop Ingram for Allsop. Meanwhile, Pandur has been here since January and hasn’t played a single competitive minute.
I don't think he's any great shakes either, for what it's worth, I mean we've had worse down the years but we should (and probably do) have better. I've criticised him plenty this season when he has cost us games and though his mid to long range passing is alright, I'd say he was average at best with his feet (a couple of times he's made the wrong choice with his passes - Seri been the victim of that on more than one occasion). I understand why Rosie hasn't dropped him; Ingram apparently can't play this system and we loaned out Tim LT, who by all accounts presents the same problem as Pandur in that he isn't ready. By the time we got to January we were pretty high in the league, so Rosie probably didn't want to gamble and take a keeper that knows the system and replace him with one fresh off the boat from Holland when there was much more riding on the season. Had we tailed off in February, I think he would have dropped him and like I said earlier, I think that before tonight had we not won (and he was fit enough), Pandur would probably play in the also rans games. Pandur has been brought in to play, you don't pay seven figures for a keeper and then just forget them, so he'll probably start next season. The two goals he conceded tonight weren't his fault, the first one was a great free kick and he was positioned in the middle of his goal. It took a slight nick from what I saw which may have impacted his reaction, but it was right in the stantion, no complaints there. The second, maybe you could argue he could have got across quicker to snuff out the cross, but the team were too busy complaining (rightly so) that the ball had gone out and he was actually one of the few playing to the whistle. I would love to see Pandur come in and see what he can do, I thought he looked decent against Curacao and I think Allsop is fine as a back up, though given the season TLT is having, it'll be interesting to see which keepers step up and which ones we cash in on.
Jones not at his best second half first twenty then got better , doesn’t get the stick the others get . We played some really good football with our passing game ! Only issue is we get to their box we then pass it to them ! , we seem to stand watching the man with the ball instead of instinctively moving for him
Another fine away win. Whatever happens between now and the Plymouth game we’ve had a very good season and improved as a team..and a club. UTT.
Can’t see that happening. After a poor start Norwich have come good at the right time. If we had their home record we would be a contender for automatic promotion. But we are still higher than I thought we would be at start of season so to me progress has been made.
I wouldn’t worry about that, the way some of the others are playing I think they will need the same. Let’s hope we get that chance though
Just a reminder, if you’re going to Plymouth & you drive an EV remember to set off straight after the Ipswich game on Saturday night.
I think he's pretty limited, to be fair. Might be because he's next to Greaves, dunno. I wish he'd try to do more of the simple stuff sometimes instead of a Hollywood pass, but I can't fault him for the sheer effort he puts into games.
Have no doubt West Brom and Norwich players will be under pressure... Norwich v Swansea (nothing to play for, nothing to lose)... then Birmingham who on the last day might have to get something (in the bottom 3) West Brom v Massive (they like Birmingham are desperate) ... then Preston (nothing to play for, nothing to lose)...
