Only boil what's necessary, but there's either a little left or not enough and you have to go ith the former as the latter is unacceptable :emoticon-0181-fubar

Have just made a cup of darjeeling. Very nice, delicate and slightly floral. It's pretty good I'd say although I'm no tea expert

Allegedly, Twinings bags are compost able...like all compostable teabags though, they need a fairly hot composter to actually break down the cellulose quickly so they take a bit longer in a home compost heap.

Fresh mint tea a favourite of Mrs Jab's sometimes with thinly sliced ginger usually with honey.

I digress from the tea party slightly to discuss accompaniments. there's the full cream tea or afternoon tea crusts off of course, a slice of cake maybe, a slice of Mrs Jab's carrot and pistachio is very nice, the cream cheese icing has a liberal dash of vanilla and bourbon essence in it.

Yes, a domestic composter won’t get hot enough but a council one will, which is no good to me. To be fair, Twinings claim all their bags will be compostable by 2025.

Here’s a list of companies whose tea bags are plastic-free:

    Abel & Cole own brand
    Clipper
    Co-op own brand 99
    PG Tips
    Pukka Herbs
    Sainsbury's own brand
    Teapigs
Twinings: Organic Pure Camomile, Organic Pure Peppermint & Organic Fairtrade English Breakfast
    Waitrose own-brand caffeinated tea bags

By the way, I am so glad we have, between us, managed to divert this thread on to something meaningful.

    I'm split.

The English in me enjoys a nice Earl Grey, but the Italian genes take over a lot in the day and I have a nice Italian Roast Espresso. Got to be strong in intensity (like a ristretto). Unfortunately, decaf after 1pm for me for tea or coffee.

I feel the same way about coffee as I do about marmite - I can't stand the stuff. I find it nauseating.

Even if we were to win both our remaining games, I think that would be stretch to class it as a winning run.

In my mind, we were always saving you to step back in for the play-offs - whether you liked it or not! Our hopes rest all on you and Downes.

Interesting you consider the bergamot from Italy that gives Earl Grey its distinctive flavour to be English!

I also normally take all my caffeine on board before 1 pm, starting with a mug of Clipper Earl Grey with breakfast and then a couple of mugs of very strong Bird & Wild Espresso Blend coffee, with a drop of cold milk.
