I like RM it unfortunately he has shown that he’s a one trick pony with no real guile. Every single game I have watched this season has been the same, win or lose. The poor opposition has masked his problems and we’ve been found wanting when needed. Goals make the difference and we don’t stop them or score enough of them. His style doesn’t work. It’s true, he’s stuck with it all season and the results haven’t been good enough for the quality of the squad he’s had to work with. Next season he will be lucky to hit 70pts. his words have become meaningless, running and bravery is all his talks about. Run where? Brave how? I see players running all over the place but never getting in behind or finding space in dangerous areas. I see the same careful patterns of play in every phase with no room for bravery or individuality. So he wants what, the same **** but faster? Maybe that’s just not possible and expecting it to be different this week is deluded.
I know someone who was with him at huddersfield when they were younger. Great striker apparently. That’s all I have to add.
****ing hate Vardy. He’s a proper ****. But my god do I wish we had a few players with his attitude. We were absolutely pathetic tonight and we have been all season when the going gets tough. Congrats on a well deserved victory. Should have been more than 5 tbh
... the saying "Yes he's a **** - but he's our ****" springs to mind - I'd hate him if he played for anyone else ... but he's been incredible for us, no question... club legend without any doubt ...
That was really disappointing. After a brief bright start to the second half it was very much second best to a team with style and purpose. All the best for Leicester on their return to the prem. **** it, proper ****ing **** it.
To many problems with this team. Main one to me is that they have no Character, and haven’t done for a while. I’ve been saying for a while that the team is physically weak with a lack of pace all over the pitch. When we’re pressed by the opposition we cannot handle the physical challenge and cannot transition into attack quick enough so when teams lose the ball we give them all the time in the world to get back into shape. IMHO we will not go up as the better teams have worked us out and have better players to take advantage of the slow build up we always play no matter what the match situation is. Big changes next season needed. We need a few bigger stronger quicker players next season, and if this season whimpers out as I expect it to, probably a new manager as well.
This is exactly it. We have built a very weak team - mentally and physically- who are good footballers. Well, that is not enough in this league.
I blame Bazunu…..oh! I blame Mason Holgate….oh! I blame Jack Stephens……oh, I blame Sulemana…….oh! Running out of scapegoats. Phew! Manning was playing. Him and a lot of other players who didn’t turn up. Not often you have too many scapegoats or plonkers to choose from. Glad I am missing out on a trip to Leeds.
It's an odd one, if we don't get promoted I'm quite looking forward to another season in the championship especially with the Skates getting promoted, I like having no VAR too. That being said, we've completely bottled it this season. We should have more fight, there is none! We've been given several chances to get back into the run in for automatic promotion, and we haven't taken them, to any other club this would be infuriating but I feel most Saints fans had an inkling this would happen. Obviously, there's still the play offs, but there's teams with more fight than us currently. And if we did go up, I really don't look forward to a season with RM as manager in the premier league. We'd get bent over. I like RM; that unbeaten run was incredible and lifted our spirits for the first time in a long time but, as others have mentioned, he's a bit of a one trick pony. Would I want RM as manager next season if we don't get promoted? I don't know the answer to that really. But I wouldn't want him as manager in the PL. Just my opinion. The players have to take responsibility too. Anyway, more to life than football but the way we've fizzled out is embarrassing.
Well, there’s no better way to get over last nights debacle, than spending £1500 to do it all over again next season. Season tickets renewed and bring on the fishy ****ers and another promotion push.
Yeh, let’s forget about match day I don’t run the tap, and my hot water is only at 49C I’m going to measure how much water I use Salt and tablets aren’t expensive but Environmentally they’ve got to be manufactured and transported Let’s never talk about football again
Sorry, I can only assume it's an elaborate plot to ensure you're in the play offs with us instead of Leicester or Leeds.
We are Southampton we do it our way - generally not very good and no matter what division we are in we have to get a good pasting now and then, so we know our place. Fifty-four years of watching, following, looking out for updates and scores and apart from a few blips here or there it's more or less stayed the same. I did see the FA Cup Final win actually at Wembley though and when I've been dead for 100 years I'll be one of the few commemorated on a stone plinth in the rest area in the blocks of flats that will be standing where St Mary's used to be....'One of the Few' I'm going for a lie-down now.
You don't run the tap, but surely you rinse on and off? Washing up liquid has to be manufactured and transported too. Also another thing that was brought up in the podcast is to never dry with a dishcloth, leave to air dry as more hygienic. I too was sceptical, but after hearing from dishwasher experts (even more expert than me ), I can see it. There are some caveats. The dishwasher has to be full, you have to keep it for 7-10 years and maybe look at your electricity supplier and renewable energy.
