Looks like your not going to give us a bit of credit then, you ever heard the saying, you only play as well as the opposition allow you to, well you only played as well as we allowed you to, two deflected goals, is still two goals, so come on Dub boy, give us a bit of credit.
Alot of sad muppets on here today from both sides. Well done brizzy you out scored and out played us. We were poor today I admit it. But looking at the 18 games we have only lost 3 so you can't complain. No one would have thought we would be were we are, so that's not moan. I'm hoping for a better game when your at ours
I was at today's game, and sat in the main stand with City fans so had an opportunity to watch the game more objectively. Firstly, the above comment is nonsense. We were not outclassed or ran off the park. However, we were off our game, especially up front - for me Lambert had a stinker and Guly did nothing. The midfield played well, passed it around nicely but probably didn't service the front two as well as normal. We lacked any real penetration or cutting edge in the proverbial final third - there were a number of good crosses delivered from the right in the first half but no-one on the end. City played a very good pressing game, Adamoh was excellent and caused problems throughout, especially second half where I had an excellent view of him terrorising our left side. Their defence also closed us down well. Their first goal was a tad fortunate - Kelvin had it covered before it took a deflection off a defending boot. After that we didn't really look like scoring. I take nothing away from City - they played well and once they had their noses in front and their tails up did not look like throwing it away. It's a great result for them and a disappointing one for us. I don't exoect the wheel to come off the bus though - we can't be expected to win or play like champions every single game. We'll see... Cheers, RLT
We were poor today but take nothing away from Bristol, they looked a decent passing side and Mcinnes has clearly done something to turn it around. You will finish top half no doubt.
I'm not going to throw any s@@t. I have nothing against the saints as a club or their fans. I am absolutely delighted with our current form, and beating the league leaders and pace-setters is a testament to how our fortunes have turned around - a few weeks ago we were bottom with no game plan and staring L1 in the face. Although granted we are still in the bottom 3, we have gotten 13 points from a possible 15 which is promotion form, so please forgive a little 'over-zealous' celebrations!
I was very quiet in the build-up to this as I thought we would lose, and we did. City were never a lower echelon side, and have some top players. All credit to you and all the best, boy has McInnes sorted it out already! See you in a few weeks ;-)
Honestly mate, why don't you read the post from your fellow fan banks? that is the most embarrassing and childish post i've seen in a while.Bristol city fans, you won and we were poor, move on and enjoy it,we all know how footy turns quickly.
How is it deluded? His post contains facts. You are down the bottom and we are at the top. We were unbeaten in 8. We have the best goalscoring record in the championship. Sure credit to your boys today for winning, and I do think you will be up towards the playoffs by the end of the season but you really are making yourself look stupid. No team can go consistently playing at their peak, and for you city fans to start saying "We wont get promoted never mind winning the league", you're judging this from one game, where we had an off day away from home. If you had seen the rest of the season like we have, I think you would be a bit more magnanimous in your victory.
Cheers for the report RLT I missed the game today and it's good to hear such an unbiased review of the game from an opposing fan. I think you'll go up and if it is going to be between yourselves and West Ham for the title, I sincerely hope it's you lot.
I would swap places with you, your there on merit, but city are in a false false position. We have a management team, who have sorted a very good city squad and got them playing quick, pushing football. I said you would struggle against our quick pressing game, this clearly was the case.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Southampton, I thought you lot played well and was looking forward to how far we have improved under Del. I thought the game was great two teams that like to play football. If you played us 6 games ago you would of buried us. But we are full of confidence at the moment. I have a question for you, you were saying Adoma who. What do you think of him now?
