Another reason not to touch Toney has emerged: he's now very publicly dictating wage demands, and won't listen to anything lower than £250k a week please log in to view this image

Interesting timing, seeing as there's a story circulating that Ange was going to bring him back into the squad next season!
N'didi got another goal for Leicester today. I wonder if we'd consider going for him, as he's out of contract in the summer, IIRC?
Aussie Watch Tottenham Hotpsur are in pole-position to sign Australian striker Thomas Waddingham from Brisbane Roar. Waddingham has scored 5 goals in his last 9 matches, as he continues to impress in his breakout season.
A League Rando Watch In a move apparently designed to get World of Gobshite (assuming they're still a thing) kvetching about "token Aussies", we're being linked with Brisbane Roar's 19-year old striker Thomas Waddingham, who has scored 6 goals in what's been a bit of a car crash of a season for them where they're somehow bad enough to be on their fourth manager of the season (and sacked the first one on Christmas Eve, nice move Brisbane!) but not bad enough to be in the bottom four places which would qualify them for the Australia Cup And now you know that the A-League is f'n weird
Very good DM and usually would be a no brainer but he’s had a few injuries scattered throughout the last few seasons. Freebie though so it’s probably worth the risk. Free transfer market this summer isn’t as good as the last few years but there are a few to keep an eye on assuming they don’t renew late on (not sure if club’s have an extension option for some though). Mbappe’s obviously gonna headline it whilst if Modric and Kroos don’t renew at Madrid they’ll certainly be of interest to sides. Meret will be a great signing for anyone needing a first choice keeper. Rabiot and Zielinski are two very decent CMs, albeit the former sounds like an absolute nightmare to deal with. Kamada, Hermoso, Rafa, Kelly, Tosin and Jorginho will all likely be of interest to sides as well, the two English CBs obviously being recent targets for us. I wouldn’t be surprised if we do target one or two on the list, Paratici’s a known operator in freebie markets and I’m sure he’ll be speaking with Lange and Ange about it.
Alfie Doughty looks like a no-brainer to me, as that would sort out our LB options without spending a penny while also adding some set piece threat and the crossing ability our team lacks at the moment - and given he's equally adept at LW that adds an extra dimension to our tactical plans
At this stage. Surely Spurs should be going for players based on ability or potential rather than filling quotas or because they’re out of contract
Given we use data-based scouting, the fact that Doughty has 7 assists this season (more than anyone else in the Luton team) certainly stands out, and if you want to get fully into stats nerdery and check his FBref stats (but who would be that sad?) you see that his data does line up with Porro and Udogie in various metrics (and occasionally improves on them) while, critically, pretty much all of his data outstrips both Davies and Emerson Add to that the obvious context: 7 assists this season puts him level with our joint-second best creators Maddison, Porro and Johnson, plus his set piece delivery is an obvious x-factor More than anything else, getting somebody who can potentially fill in at both LB or LW depending on what's needed at the time for nothing frees up money to spend on a No6
We should be considering all of those things, in my opinion. Picking someone inappropriate due to any of them is a mistake, though. If we're in the Europa next season then we need serious depth.
Exodus Watch Feyenoord director Dennis to Kloese has said they are looking at a summer deal for Bryan Gil Since we're selling at least two of the Beatles, we'd better have somebody who looks like at least three members of The Doors lined up...
