I hope that Russell doesn't interpret the goals conceded as solely a back four issue rather than a DM and team balance one and change the former and not change the latter.

March day....underwhelmed

 

As we are locked in for the play offs, I m expecting the players to avoid getting injured in the next 3 games. Resigned to an end of season fizzle out.

 

I think trying to hit a cows arse with a banjo would be more relevant

 

Heard that before, but I could never understand how it could be cheaper than a bowl of hot water and a dribble of soap

Water: You’ve got to wash and rinse
Leccy: Heat water and run cycle for what, An hour?
Soap: Tablets and that other stuff
Buy more crocks so you can fill it
Not to mention everyone seems to rinse the crocks before they go in

Oh and there’s all the leccy you use telling us about it and we use reading about it

 

Maybe they’ll all relax and it will all just click into place

4-0, only because if we win all our last three 4-0 we could end up champions

We actually don't want a fizzle-out end of season. Need to try and keep some momentum going into the play-offs (hey, I'm trying here, alright!)

I am very much struggling with the enthusiasm for this one, especially with the rush hour train out of London and then a rush for the last train back from Leicester.

 

We'll probably do a madness and win 4-0 now.

 

Hard to predict tonight how the performance will go. Think Leicester will win personally but it’s how they win which is important.

 

No idea which Saints will turn up.
Lost quite a bit of interest a while back, even before we properly ****ed it up. Not quite sure why. Footy fatigue perhaps if that exists!

 

I feel it'll be tight for a bit but we'll collapse about 3-0 or maybe 3-1 if the ball hits one of our forwards in the face from a clearance and pings into the net.

Ultimately no matter what Russell Martin says about the points we can get, players being brave, and wanting to put the record straight, there is a surprising lack of backbone in this team, if they are up against it I don't trust them.

Someone else said this seems to be a culture with Southampton FC regardless of players and management or season, and whilst I don't completely agree with that, results, performances, and season records, even in relatively successful seasons, seem to point that way.

Shame, but there it is, nowt I can do about it.
