Lot of talk about Fabio costing a fortune but the Athletic saying he's cost us £500k in wages and loan fee. That's a very very good deal for us
Well, £500k on Carvalho is definitely money better spent than at least £260k on Sharp during the same period.
We'll have spent about half that on Sharp. Why the hell everyone keeps banging on about him I've no idea, if you want a player that's really costing us money for even less of a contribution than Sharp, then you should aiming your ire at Ryan Woods. He's on over twice as much, has a year to run on his contract and we're currently paying him to play for someone else.
I have criticised the signing of Woods several times, even when he initially joined in summer 2022. Go look at the summer 2022 transfer thread. Back then I was told I was being ‘negative’ because Woods was a decent player at Brentford etc.
Absolute bargain. I was assuming 500k would be the loan fee itself let alone a sizeable chunk of wages.
It's more then 500k but it's money well spent and in the grand scheme of things a bargain. Unfortunately I don't see much chance of him being here next season
Doesn't matter, him coming here and playing as well as he has will do wonders in convincing higher quality players to join in the summer as they can see that their careers can also flourish here and that Carvalho wasn't too big for little old Hull.
He posts the same wind up rubbish over and over trying to get a reaction and rarely if ever (this time aside) gets it. It's just pointless. Posted similar about Greaves the other day.
Look harder then. I didn’t say I always thought he was ****. I said I criticised the signing as pointless at the time, which is exactly what I did.
York City have confirmed the departure of former Sheffield Wednesday, Hull City and Rotherham United goalkeeper David Stockdale.
I really wish I had the time to rake through old stuff on the internet just to try and prove a point to a stranger online I've never met haha
