I'm not quite sure what point you're making but if you have bills due and you try to say "It's not about the money" I think the creditors will suggest otherwise. The point others - not me - made in this thread was that replays are important because of the money they provide to keep clubs running for years. I didn't bring money into it.
Deffo a couple have me on ignore, until they can't work out what the convo is about, then take me off, just to remind me they have me on ignore then list a load of **** centre mids and fullbacks from some obscure league that no one's ever heard of? Whilst simultaneously castigating any signings from a hitherto obscure league that hasn't worked out already? Are they the ****ers you speak of? Those who predict well finish 14th the chuck the toys out of the pram were not finishing 6th? By any chance?
Hull City Ladies will win promotion from FA Women’s National League Division One North today if they beat York City at Barton Town Football Club (2pm kick-off) and Middlesbrough lose to Norton and Stockton.
There's money you can earn and then there's money you get given by the big boys so that you stay out of the way. It was said that when north Ferriby got to Wembley it cost them more to go, stay and play there than they got in winnings from the FA. Why do so many games take place at Wembley? Because the FA overpaid for the reconstruction and need the money to pay for it, unfortunately the FA sold the golden egg of first division football and have to rely on on handouts from the Premier league. Football needs a root and branch overhaul, kicking out all those that initially signed up for the European super league would be a good start.
It was originally due to be paid off by the end of this year, but I’m not sure if that’s still the case, we’ve had Covid since the original repayment date was announced.
The FA Trophy Final could be played anywhere, it was never a Wembley core event and it probably costs them more to stage than they can recoup (it’s at Wembley for prestige, not for money).
So both the FA and the clubs lose money, the fans have to pay more to see their team than necessary. What sort of mickey mouse business strategy is that. Oh I know we can just go to the Premier league with a begging bowl and get a few quid to spread around.
Debt free must leave it a profitable cash cows for the FA. Not sure given this case why they almost sold it to the Jacksonville owner the other year . Way too much short term thinking
Tremendous goal by Josh Windass against Blackburn. Great news for us, we need Wednesday to have something to play for next week against jittery West Brom.
Things might have altered but it does not appear to be a cash cow. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...t-euro-2020-but-ailing-finances-cast-a-shadow
