If we won 5-0 every game for several seasons we would be right to question the stagnancy and lack of improvement over the previous season.
That was clearly a joke. I don't think I could be considered overly pessimistic or optimistic. I try to look on things on balance rather than just the last game or last two games. On balance we're by far most likely going to finish in second or third... But between first and fourth we are far more likely to finish first. To be worrying about falling below 4th place when there is 10% or greater chance at first and less than 2% chance at falling below 4th is absurdly pessimistic. It's simply unrealistic to consider at this point. Not impossible, but not realistically likely.

I literally counted up to 40, then said get to 70 as fast as possible earlier in the season.
