First league match I’ve been to this season and it was absolutely bloody awful. Millwall to their credit were organised brilliantly and kept their shape well and completely nullified us but we didn’t even offer a threat. Thought Ekwah was cowardly at times. Couple of 50/50 balls he shacked out of and that’s not what we’re about. Only player that seemed to show any desire in the first half was Rigg. Dack offered nowt! Waste of a shirt that bloke. Very disappointed
That was so poor No commitment No passion (Ballard, Rigg and Hume excepted) Tactics poor Weaknesses are glaringly obvious I'm upset Summer needs a re-think
Do you think tactics is our problem ?? get rid of 6 players get rid of those 2 on the touch line, get rid of KS and finally let him sell to the 3 yanks ffs.
Sorry but it's time we faced the truth, he will not invest unless he sells our best players and keep bang average players.
So the same as EVERY SINGLE TEAM IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP? Honestly man this fanbase needs some serious education on how football clubs are ran. What the **** are you talking about?
I wouldn’t bat an eyelid if he went immediately mind, but can’t see that happening so he has to nail this next appointment and window or he’s done
Playing a 5 at the back with Rigg on the right, probably our best DM available playing LWB and Jobe/Ekwah in the middle isn’t helping. Would we have any worse going with a back 4, Styles DM with Ekwah/Bellingham then Ba on the right and Burstow up top? Instead once again it’s square pegs in round holes when it’s unnecessary.
There is that too, can only spend what you earn at this level, I’m excited to see how this ‘model’ works with the cash we’ll bring in, on the fence on if soeakman is the best man for the job but time will tell
Why buy a English football club when you have 2.5 billion quid and your not prepared to invest a substantial chunck in to it. Cos to him its a game of dare. We need to wake the **** up.
That ranks highly among the most boring afternoons I've ever spent in a football stadium. Most home defeats for the team with the highest attendances. There needs to be a dramatic shift in mindset at home next season
Ekwah, in my opinion, does that too often. It is noticeable when the header is there to be won as well. At first I thought he was just a lad out of the 23s who hadnt learned the physical side, but now I think maybe he shirks it at times. I played CM for years, not sure I would want a partner like that. He can play when he has the ball, but that isnt enough. The next coach has to get under his skin and make some pretty serious demands or I think his career will fall short of what it could.
No point arguing with him mate, he cant stand KLD and he probably wishes we got his pal Donald back This season has been shocking but its fixable, as long as lessons are learned. We are going in the right direction but tweaks have to be made to our recruitment as last summers was very poor We have spent good money last 2 seasons but must sign more championship ready players- which we have all said but appartently some of us have to take off our red n white tinted glasses
But the model also got us to 6th last season - its not major changes we need which is encouraging, just need to get a good manager n have a good window, both are do-able
