Should be in a position to rest half the team in the second half but our finishing is simply awful. No issues with the number 6 position as all the space they need to play out is on our right flank. It doesn’t help that we aren’t pressing with any urgency which has allowed them to move the ball without pressure at times. Desperately need a couple of quick goals. I would have said another goal but 2-0 tends to switch us off, except in extreme cases like last Tuesday when we got a third.
A pretty dominant half where we should really have put the game to bed already. We need to get that second goal sooner rather than later to take any pressure off. I'd much rather us play well and create chances than a Blackburn type performance.
Hopefully the team are feeling the pressure less than the Not606 pundits Bad finishing and flakey defending sure do keep things exciting in the Championship
Funny thing is we all want the Autos, but how many hands on heart actually would look forward to playing in the Premier League next year!
The missed chances could come back to haunt us if we finish level on points with Ipswich. Our GD is currently one worse than theirs when it should be 2 or 3 better just on the first half chances.
