Yeah as I said the other day, the incidence of draws with big clubs and small clubs bringing them back or getting a big day out at theirs is incredibly uncommon.

You can tell you are on the wrong side of the argument. Syd liked your post. Should we just abandon clubs who struggle? We would not be here if that been the case not that long ago.

Of course not. I don't think anybody is saying that. That is a much much bigger, different issue imo.

I don't know how many times it can be said that the issue is funding distribution for people to still think we're arguing against funding these clubs.

For me it’s just another example of the wealthy clubs turning there back on the smaller ones. It’s all about us mentality. Chip away and we will get what we want. If they don’t want a replay then stop ****ing around and put your first team out. Job done.

Syd wrong yet again, If we were in the PL do people think we should be redistributing our money to clubs like Stoke with owners worth billions? Or other clubs with wealthier owners than ourselves? Ironically because of the daft rules billionaires cannot invest the money want in the EFL because of FFP. In fact Newcastle can’t use the wealth of their owners whilst Chelsea have spent a billion.

Gate receipts are shared evenly. A club, skint club, or any EFL club makes it through to the third round. Then, as you say in your first sentence, their number goes into the draw hoping to be tied away against a "big" club. More big stadium perhaps.

A big moan on here is the playing dates and times being moved to suit the broadcasters. The chief one being how to travel home afterwards. All cup replays are played mid-week with a late-ish kick off. I will moan if Sky move a game to a Sunday, but am prepared to travel anywhere in the country on a wednesday night for a cup replay? Nah, you cannot have it both ways.

And, no, I do not have a solution to the "skint" dilemma.

Some seem to be looking at it through the eyes of a Top Ten Premier League supporter .
These top clubs where quite happy to sign up to a European super League and play more games yet the possibility of an F A cup replay is daunting .
I mean how often do they have to play one anyway .
One max a year a full 90 minutes extra ?
Now they know that extra games In Europe are cash cows and this will be pushed by rich owners who don't understand .
English and most of European sporting culture isn't the. Same as USA , Australia where their sports have one competition so they don't understand either .
As for owners from other parts of the world they don't respect historic culture .

Sunderland, Leeds and Wednesday have bigger stadiums than half the clubs in the PL. Maybe those PL clubs hope to get drawn away to them? You may not want to travel to replays but lots of clubs sellout for Cup relays away midweek where they take more than clubs take for league fixture due to a higher ticket allocation.

As some one else wrote, Bolton Wanderers have played more games than Man City. Wonder which has the largest squad?

PSR and FFP are a load of ****, for the most part. Nothing about it is ‘fair’.

People who support scrapping replays .
It's two rounds possibly for a Prem club .
These same Prem clubs forced their way into the bottom 2 divisions cup competition to get more games .
The irony is lost isn't it ?.
Why not start by not having two Legs in the League Cup semi and reduce the Premier League to 34 games ?

I don't think that's true but you're entitled to that opinion. I think GFAW and myself have expressed pretty rational reasons why scrapping replays isn't the crime some think it is. The real crime is lower league clubs not receiving adequate funding.
