That comment could only have been funnier if Whinger had been dressed up in a Batman costume when he said it. In all seriousness, though, imagine how awesome we'd be with RvP! He seems to have grown with all the extra responsibility being heaped on his shoulders, with both Fab and Naz leaving the Gooners. I know we'd never be able to afford his wage demands, and that he'll probably end up at either £ity or with the Chavs, but of all the Arsenal players of recent years, he's the one I've always wanted at Spurs.
The Emirates is quiet, you say? Odd, it's pumping down where im sitting next to the non-fiction section... please log in to view this image Someone actually just opened a can of tango...scared the daylights out of me!
I like this more on the BBC live football page: 1842: I haven't heard a crowd this quiet since Daphne & Celeste were introduced as the surprise guests at one of our student union parties.
I love the panic that is clearly setting into the minds and hearts of the Gooners When, at the start of the season, some of their fans were fearing that, this season, they'd finish below us in the EPL, you could tell that they never really believed it. But now, more than a third of the way through the season and with the mighty Spurs juggernaut showing absolutely no signs of slowing down, it's finally dawning in some of the more astute among them that they really will finish below us this season. All the usual arrogant swagger has completely disappeared, and there is something extremely apologetic, almost pathetic about them. The Chavs aren't quite there, at the moment, but they'll soon catch up.
