His Mrs must dread leaving the house because of the fear of what she will find on return .

That's next on the list. The kitchen has been in 14 years so needs a refresh. Considering painting the kitchen units.
Biggest job is replacing the soffits and facia boards right around the house and replacing the glass in most of the windows.

Gonna cost £1k to scaffold the house for 2 days to do the job.

    **** that for a lark.

I'm only doing a Spring clean with the kids and it's proper sweats. Fcking horrible job but feeling a sense of accomplishment.

The 'accomplishment' being they did most of it whilst I "directed" and ate Doritos. But they gots to learn, this will hold them in good stead for later life.

That's the plan, well, sort of.
I've got a harness, some climbing rope and a climbing helmet. Gonna use that lot and attach myself to wall anchors I'll put in the wall.
    What could possibly go wrong?

While I admire your effort to always do jobs yourself, the previous jobs never really involved a high level of personal risk, you dont seem a guy hard up for a buck or two, and on this ocassion I just think your well-being is worth more than a grand bro, but you'll ignore me anyway lol.

Unless he intends to sell the house in the next couple of years, he needs to consider the grand as an investment for doing the job properly. It will look like a dogs breakfast trying to fit it whilst hanging on for dear life!!!

Yeah, I built that roof when I built the extension. Was a flat roof that needed lifting to get the ceiling height required.
Did the joinery, tiles, velux, the lead work and the tiles.
One of the most physically demanding jobs I've ever done.
    I'll be fine...

Took 4 hours to do it all. Grout tomorrow. When the builder did it he put some kind of sealant on top at the end, what's that?
