With the game won he should’ve made a point of taking them off. Looked a bit weak just standing there with his hands in his pockets and not sure he’s the type to lay into them after.
They got plenty of superfluous academy players they can offload for pure profit though. Difference between us and them is that our academy players are ones we want to keep, partly because they are good, and partly because our squad isnt as good as Arsenals to the bar for making the team is lower. They have tons of chaff like Nketiah and Smith Rowe who are never going to feature to any great degree. Thats probably £70m in pure profit right there.
The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge last night appeared shockingly lacking as well last night - I was thinking at one point you were 4-0 up and the place was like a fooking morgue. I think the loudest noise came when Madueke and Co were being bellends.
Hardly surprising, given the season the fans have had to endure. Slapping up a relegation threatened Everton may look great on paper, and do wonders for our GD, but in the grand scheme of things, its just 3 points that they should be winning anyway against a team who are in an even bigger state than us.
Surely the object of going to the game is to shout and cheer on your team lol. In regards to the 'its just 3 points' it's 3 points closer to a possible Europa place.
Maybe they were in such shock to see us win a game at home, by more than a single goal margin, that they were rendered speechless!
To be fair, its not when you are winning six nil that you need cheering on. Its when its 0-0 or you are 1-0 down that you need encouragement
I suppose at least the passion showed on the pitch... It's my ball, no it's my ball. give me the ball, fook off I've got it.
As I've said before I don't think Chelsea are that bad a team - they just got a few clowns that Poche needs to sort out, if he can't then it will just lead to his demise again. That's one thing I do like about Klopp he knows how to deal with any clowns.
I agree to an extent. I still think the money was woefully misspent by our new owners, but they should be better than midtable. I expected us to be around where Tottenham and Villa are now, fighting for top 4. Not hoping to dear god we make the top half of the table! I would give Poch another window, not sure if we will be able to spend much if anything, but if, 10 games in to next season, this foolishness is still apparent, he needs to go.
Champions League back tonight. Arsenal vs Bayern return leg is tomorrow. Been routing for the English teams in Europe this season so the PL gets the 5th CL spot, but then I realised that that spot is likely to go to Tottenham, so now I am not so fussed
Abu Dhabi bought City years before FFP, and they bought it from that Thai billionaire who'd also spent a ****-load on them.
