Kieron McKenna - Manager of the Season Wes Burns - Goal of the Season Leif Davis - Team of the Season Luke Chambers - Sir Tom Finney Award Recognition for the group’s incredible season. Can only put a smile on the lad’s faces for the start of this week’s training. COYB
Fully deserved. My disappointment is that Morsy hasn't really been recognised anywhere, he's been immense this season taking the step up very comfortably. I think he's actually improved his game this season, his passing range and shooting are considerably better, outstanding player. I'm just pleased the fans voted him player of the season, fully deserved.
Totally agree itfcptc,I think his reputation as a bit of a hard man possibly goes against him in the eyes of the establishment and other teams’ fans.
A few words about the award from KMc and Mick Mills here Kieran McKenna: Ipswich will benefit from rest, says Championship manager of season https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68815733
You can imagine the word in the ref's ear before a game starts. "Oi ref, watch out for their skipper Morsy today, right dirty little b....ger, hacking all over the place."
He’s done well to keep his nose clean and avoid another punishing suspension. Just one yellow card in nine, compared with five in nine at the start of the season.
I remember Paul cook saying at the beginning of the season when we got hammered somewhere (can’t be bothered to check by who) that will never happen once Morsy gets here and how right he was. Other than Leeds away, we haven’t been put to the sword by anyone. Delighted he was recognised by the fans this year, he is just a 7.5 / 8 out of 10 every week. Would love to see him lead us out in the premier league next season
How has Morsy not played in the premier league, let alone be a regular and captain of Egypt!! As mentioned, I think it's because of his reputation as a bit of a hard man but he is sooooo much more than that!!
It’s amazing that Morsy, Leif & Broadhead were allowed to drop to a then league 1 club. Delighted that they did (as well as Swindon releasing Luongo) but still, I would have expected a championship club to have seen the ability but not 1 to look a gift horse or 4 in the mouth
Don't quite think 9 caps constitutes being a regular in the Egypt squad, and not sure where you got him as being captain of them as well
I shudder back to the dark days when the supporters were voting for Bart as our Player of the Year! Just shows how far we have come since Gamechanger came in and completely transformed our club. Leif Davis is my player of the season he is just sheer class! Have to say that I have never rated Woolfenden as a Centre Back he isn't strong enough and always has a rick in him! Best slice of luck has to be Walton being injured at the start of the season and Hladky coming in and just owning it ever since! I hate to think how many points he has saved us over the season.
