Watched Apples Never Fall this week with Annette Benning and Sam Neil. Decent, but let down by last episode
Started watching Baby Reindeer on netflix last night. Don't think I can think of British TV that tops it in terms of filmmaking/story telling. Really ****ing clever and incredibly haunting. There's quite a lot of "woke"/progressive themes in there and I'd imagine it will put some people off but it would be a proper shame to miss it because of that. 3/7 episodes in so far and it's just brilliant.
Perfect summary. He had one when he was on Byker Grove, but by the time he was piloting a jaeger in Pacific Rim his accent was some bizarre mid-Atlantic casserole,
Now he does his best Cheryl Cole Geordie impersonation every time some dumb **** casts him in an English/Australian production. Grim.
Big Fallout fan here - hence the username - and it's alright. I'm up to episode six and having expected the worst after the monumental dumbfuckery that was Rings Of Power from Amazon, I've been very pleasantly surprised.
Four episodes in on Fallout and it's pretty bloody good. Bit late to the party but enjoyed first season of Kin.
Just binged watched This Town on BBC iPlayer with our lass. She didn't like Peaky Blinders due to the excessive violence and some shagging, but she enjoyed this (written by the same writer). Glad we found something we both enjoyed.
Good stuff isn't it. Entertaining and interesting characters, especially Walton Goggins' ghoul. Odd how it's taken this long to make a quality computer game adaptation but they got there in the end.
Finished "The Gentlemen" the other night. Quite enjoyed it. 8 or so episodes and not 1 copper sniffing about. You'd think an operation of such magnitude would have had someone with a big mouth.Plus there's always am American trying to be an English aristocrat, always find that quite funny hearing their accent trying to be a toff. "Blue lights" has been getting some canny reviews so mite get into that some point. I have a confession to make aswell..... I'm only just watching Band of Brothers for the first time aswell. Was never into war films/shows back when it was first out.
Walter Goggins is always fantastic in anything he is in. Sons of Anarchy as Venus Van Damme was class and of course the shield which I first saw him in (the scene with the grenade).
Watched a couple of episodes of Series 2 Blue Lights last night....compelling stuff at times...enjoyed it.
Yeah he's class. When I heard ages ago he was in Fallout and playing a ghoul I was sold there and then. Good cast in general, Ella Purnell was good in Yellowjackets and Kyle MacLachlin needs no introduction.
Anyone watched Man City’s treble winning season on Netflix? A couple of mates reckon it’s a really good watch.
Watched the full fallout Watched all series 1, really enjoyed it. Like that the series is true to the atmosphere of the game. Have to wait for series 2 now. Still playing New Vegas, running with the legion for a change
If there has ever been a better TV series than Twin Peaks I am yet to see it. Absolutely right up my street. Genius in all respects. Script, Cinematography, Characters, Acting, Soundtrack. I must have seen it 5 or 6 times start to finish. Mind you Sherilyn Fenn helps.
Me and the wife both love it too, there's nothing like it. Didn't catch it first time around and would have been too young anyway but since I saw it ten years or so ago I've rewatched it all at least once if not twice. What did you make of the new series? I liked it on the whole and respected that it was its own thing and not a copy of the original two. There was an episode in the middle somewhere I didn't enjoy, went off on a weird tangent. Picked up a couple of new bands from the musical interludes.
