    Ewe lamb.
Still not right, but it'll get given a chance.

    Well, the saga ends.
After picking up miraculously yesterday, little lamb went down hill yesterday evening. Expected it to be dead this morning, but it just kept hanging on. Just got back from dropping it at the knacker yard. A real fighter, but something not right internally.
One of the harder ones to lose. Been in the house for about 9 days. Usually a day or two and they don't make it, or a couple days and they're back to the farm.
First time we've had to have a lamb that young put down.

Most of the other lambs thriving now and only 8 ewes left to lamb.
Fingers crossed there are no more challenges among them.

I only gave it a like because of you taking the time and not because of the news.
Fingers crossed for the rest of the ewes.

Same rationale as Clingo. I really wanted the little one to make. Sadly not to be.

Hope the rest of the flock does well. <ok>

Look at those little, beady eyes staring at you in absolute trust. No mention of mint sauce in their company.

Reminds me of a very old joke about a little furry animal being trapped in a factory making a sweet product usually consumed in a sandwich. Unfortunately the little creature fell in a boiling vat of the sweet product and only 2 small parts of the creature remained.

    Wait for it.....

    Won't be long now....

    With thanks to Max Bygraves.....

    Just a little longer......

    Two lips from hamster jam!!!

    Coat time!!

    :emoticon-0128-hi:

    Lots of distractions.
Mam still not great. Ended up having a slight tumble last night.
Daughter has had me on a couple late shifts.
Been doing some odd jobs at the fishery.
Fitting in being a Bluebird has been a squeeze.
Bulk of the ewes and lambs out on grass now, bouncing round the fields.
A couple stragglers just lambed / ready to pop. They'll stay in for a week or two.

On to an extensive list of odd jobs then.

On the fishing front, managed a few trout on Friday.
Gales tomorrow so will have another chuck on Tuesday.

Lovely sunset over the lake on Saturday as I was on the way for my 'night shift'.

Bloody hell remote. Glad that you're having a quiet and relaxing retirement <yikes>.

Really sorry to read that about your mam, it must be difficult for all concerned, especially her. She's in the most caring of hands though.

Good that you're getting a bit of fishing in.

    Not farming related <laugh>..............but,

Getting a bit cheesed with football at the moment. Was going to watch Bournemouth v Man Utd on Saturday evening if only hoping to see Man Utd lose - such is my love for them.

But I thought nah, bugger it - I'll have squint through my old DVD's. Still got my 20 year old Sony DVD player (pre Blu-ray) with full cinema surround sound, sub woofer etc - plugged in on my TV stand, but unused for what seems ages now.

I came up with DVD of a film I must have watched half a dozen times in the past but not at all for at least the last 10 years so I thought I'd give it a go. That was the best hour and a half entertainment I've had in ages - good music throughout, a bloody good story line and laughs/pathos all the way.

The film?...........The Full Monty - couldn't believe that's 27 years old now. A bloody classic amongst the animated garbage being served up today.

    On where?

Back on my driving job for my visually impaired mate today. Been to Milford Haven first - had to pick him up at 7.30!!! There is no such time in the BfB house.

Presently sat in the cafe at Haverfordwest Leisure Centre while he is in a meeting at a local solicitors. Have to drive to Cardigan this afternoon before going home. Going to be a long day.

More like another film that Sparks may have on DVD.

    The Land That Time Forgot.

Not as backward as Fishguard but getting there.

Nice cakes in the chiller cabinet at the Leisure Centre. I said I would have a Pastel de Nata. Got a very blank look from the serving lady. Had to point it out "Ah, you mean a custard tart?" she said. International cuisine? My ar$e!!!
