What a week, two games at Anfield, both lost. Practically out of Europe and the title race. Again lots of chances but cannot score
Going to reiterate it, but I think we're done for the season. Squad just not ready to compete for a title. Make sure we finish top3 is the priority now. Which is probably what we expected at the start of the season. City to win the league (which is just boring)
We created 4 absolute clear cut chances that should have been put away. Go on about tactics and you’re obsession with moaning about TAA tucking inside but if you tell me we’ll create the Endo, diaz, Nunez, Salah, Jota, Jones chance every game I’ll absolutely take it because you score 3/4 of those every single game.
yeah and throw one in too. it's not just trent standing there it's two narrow cbs and nobody on the wide midfield or wide forward so we lose the right side again. on the left they wouldn't pass it up. Jones killed all momentum on the ball and gakpo was trying but nobody would get out there and overlaod with 3 and 4 players. we rather play safe and back and go again through the middle
we are looking to 4th now, very very nervously. we need 3 wins for cl. yes the start of the season is some commiseration but for a few weeks time. we've imploded in tiredness.
Yet still created 4/5/6 chances that you’d expect to score 75% of the time so wasn’t all bad. Just forwards can’t stick ball in the net / not getting breaks. Take yesterday, Haaland volleys one going out for a throw, hits the Luton player and goes in. Those are the lucky breaks we just aren’t getting atm
he gave no forward any credit. he is nearly as bad as neville. like as if he'd know a thing about scoring goals lol.
You… not we. Don’t put us all into you’re pessimistic viewpoint. You’re the only one looking at 4th. The rest of us are looking up
It's not our time to win the title We didn't expect to be in this position to win the Premier League and the team deserve all the credit for putting themselves in the position to challenge. We've won the Carabao cup. Where does the team go from here? It all depends on the new Manager and what formation he wants to play I would have questions over the future of Salah and Gapko up front As well as Endo has done this season, he really is only a stop gap and we need an upgrade.I truly would have loved Rice in this team. We're not out of the Europa league just yet, but hoping for a phenomenal comeback. Roll on next season, new manager, new tactics new players.
He almost makes me hate Scousers - and I am one. I can't stand the "he's got to score" ****e every time a good chance goes begging. Of course he's not the only one to do that, but his commentary drives me nuts. I honestly prefer Neville - at least I expect him to be a tit.
It's a worry that we're not taking chances - but it would be a far bigger one if we weren't creating them.
A step too far this year and let’s be honest, at the start of the season no one would’ve had us being this competitive. Painful but we’ve been hanging on for weeks, it’s not a cliche to say you can’t keep conceding first and expecting to turn in around - it’s a fact
it's not like they have not given their all. they have blown up and it is what it is. you've a fresh bang average team.needing a couple points to be sure to stay out the worst relegation battle in ages playing a jaded side. yet another poor bit of defending (what was vvd doing, where did konate think he was?) and we are down and have not got the legs to really get round them. chance after chance fluffedbut we are chasing 2 goals again
yep, some appalling misses but just shows the pressure that they’re under. half expect them to pick it up now it’s virtually over
I don't think so bascuse I am looking back in time at periods like this where we have really struggled for a goal or whatever and it just takes time. they don't have time. but in the end we all know the titles gone now anyway. we need 3 wins for 3rd/4th.
